Its an aim thing. If youre on point enemies drop. If u miss just one bullet youre dead. I know it sounds bad but definitely just try stocking up on recoil control. I swear I use both the colossal supressor and the first barrel that hurts your ads and movement but it turns the oden into a laser and kills in less bullets than all the other lmgs. When I started running it like that i noticed how conistent it felt for me. Plus I dont run and gun with it. I usually preaim anyway. And I put a holo on it as well. And its a beast

One tip I have is to play gunfight from time to time. A lot of the weapons are randomized, so you can get the early attachments relatively quickly for guns you think you'll never use.

No offence but even before the buff to it, the M13 was an absolute monster of a gun if you got even one headshot against someone. Its rate of fire and lack of recoil made up for the lack of damage it had. Literally just hot their head and then pull down into center of mass and it shreds everyone.

I like the Oden since its probably the most unique AR in the game. You can dominate most ranges with it as long as you're landing your shots, albeit it being a slow firing gun.

I think the Oden, once you havs someone in your crosshair, considering your aim is good and you are used to the recoil, it's game over for the opponent. But if the opponent spots you milliseconds before you do, it's game over for you

The Oden was my first full-time favourite, before my Bizon run n gun fun phase. It's an absolute monster for anti sniper play. It excels at mid to long range combat with some pretty good setups for CQC. Tap fire is the way to go.

I think it was worse than the FAL but it’s an interesting weapon. It’s good in its own way but less versatile than most other guns and I think the AS VAL & FAL do better than the Oden.

You do know they both are different class of weapons, right? The Oden (ShAK-12) is chambered in 12.7x55mm that is based on a *.338 Lapua* casing, so it's essentially a battle rifle with a hard hitting damage. The SA87 (L86 LSW) On the other hand is chambered in a typical 5.56x45mm NATO, so 5.56 is literally nothing compared to 12.7...

@@ritathecat6962 The idea is you put on the colossus suppressor, a scope and the 2 round burst. It turns the gun into a Bullpup marksman rifle with next to no recoil. 1 burst kill to the upper chest. The time between bursts is just long enough for the gun to re-centre. It's really interesting to use.

I really really like the gun a lot. I am very new at shooters so I was a bit struggling with confrontations, though my aim seemed to be very precise! So once I put my hands on the Oden, I really, litteraly, went from KD 0.24 to 0.9 because of this gun! It suits with how I play and if you are good at aiming and predicting where your enemies will appear, def worth trying it out! Great video by the way, it taught me new things as well :)

I agree, if you look at real world balistics... Yeah the bullet is thiccc but it is moving so slow that it loses a ton of energy. The hottest load hits 2439 ft/lbs of energy at the muzzle. M118lr (todays 7.62 nato) is at 2626. Since it is travelling faster, .308 carries the energy significantly further as well. While it's a really cool subsonic round that thumps super hard, if you look at the math behind it and not Russian propaganda, 12.7x55 is mediocre at best, much like .50 beowulf or .468 Socom.

@@michaelconner9796 Meanwhile, 7.62x39mm set to M43 specifications hits with about 1,607 ft/lbs of energy, and that's assuming perfect ballistics, as 7.62x39mm FMJ is prone to over penetration and generally unfavourable wounding characteristics, which means that in some situations 5.56 can hit harder out of a 14.5" barrel, yet here it's far exceeding the damage of anything else in the game that's chambered in 5.56, though considering the MP5 hits twice as hard at close range as the M13, I don't think Infinity Ward particularly cared about realistic ballistics.

I find playing aggressively wins you more gunfights than the community would have you believe. Especially with such a camp-heavy title. They're not expecting someone to be pushing hard and fast at them; not giving them a moment to breathe. I can easily do agressive play with the ODEN, you just need to take it's weaknesses and strengths into consideration. Heavy recoil? Get up close and personal as soon as possible. Mount if need be. Slow firing? Go for torso/upper chest shots. Small magazine? Rely on the 2 - 3 shot kill potential as often as possible. The ODEN is very akin to the Black Ops 3's Gorgon and the Mw3 PM9. All three of them are viciously dangerous guns in the right hands.

Imo: Oden is sleeper OP. It's not suited for aggressive or solo weapon play tho. It's not an allrounder weapon. Get those range / recoil reduction attachments and it absolutely shreds at any range with basically a laser beam. ADS speed makes it somewhat unfit for solo weapon, so I use an SMG with Overkill for close quarters (amped perk, I switch for every corner depending on the expected distance). That being said, you give up quite a bit this way and it's not suited for all maps. I basically only use it for big maps like Arklov Peak or Grazna Raid since both range and CQC is present on those maps. When seen as an AR, it's kinda unforgiving despite its TTK. But if you think of the Oden as a kinda auto-sniper, it's really forgiving considering the extreme range. In any case, one of my favorite weapons on certain maps.

I love using the Oden in Ground war with the 810mm Barrel, Colossus Suppressor, Thermal Hybrid, Oden Ultralight Hollow, and Ranger Foregrip. It's great for counter sniping people off of the cranes and B building in the Port of Verdansk.

@@NeightrixPrime Stopping power is basically ALWAYS one less bullet to kill, so stating it on every video is kinda pointless. If it takes two shots to kill, stopping power SHOULD make it a one tap inside the guns normal effective range. If it takes 3, it becomes 2.

One video I would like to see is testing on all of the different operators. Are their hit boxes all the same? Is it based on a hit box or actual model geometry? Is there any advantage or disadvantage with the different models? What about finishing move times? Are they all the same? What are your thoughts?

I do want to point out that finishing moves do matter: if your operator does the "kill" later in the finishing move and you get killed, the victim will survive. If its a quick one, you'll still secure the kill

The Oden is wildly underrated in my opinion. It's my weapon of choice. My preferred way of running the Oden is Compensator, 25rd mags, stippled grip, Commando Foregrip, and Sleight of hand.

It's extremely powerful, but it is fairly unforgiving at closer ranges where the bullet stream guns like the m4 and mp7s can get you. It definitely requires changes playstyle just a little bit if you're used to faster sprint out and ads guns. For Ground war it's typically my rifle of choice.

BEST ODEN CLASS SETUP: BLUEPRINT=BLACK ASH, ATTACHMENTS= COLOSSUS SUPPRESSOR, 810 BARREL, TAC LASER, 30 ROUND MAG, RANGER GRIP, NO RECOIL!!!! This blueprint has the different iron sight then base ODEN more like the GRAU making it easier to hit long shots. TRY IT OUT LET ME KNOW! I actually find the odens recoil extremely easy to control, because it fires slow enough you get the chance to reposition the gun between shots.

I dont use the Oden very much but its hipfire seemed pretty good to me. I only ever ADS when I need to (A habit from playing Titanfall 2) and I'll hipfire in close to mid range alot, and the oden definitely had good hipfire last time I used it and I dont think I even had a laser on it. Only real issue is that slower fore rate guns are never as good at hipfire as higher fire rate ones. Thats just a matter of more bullets equals more chances to hit, but the high damage kinda cancels out that aspect alot.

My favorite thing to do with this gun is the longest barrel, colossus suppressor, vlk scope, ranger foregrip, and either the 30 round mag, or fmj. Just sit back and shoot anything you can see.

With your long range set up I recommend you use holographic (with a blue dot if possible as that is very recommended) as it provides a higher zoom (somewhere within 1.5x and 2.0x zoom) than the reflex optics. Also has a two shot burst mode which allows for those quick two shot kills (if you can hit them that is) and is unique for long range

This is my fav AR when maxed out. Initially stock or barely with any attachments it is a pain to use because the recoil, ammo and ADS are so bad, bad after maxing it out it is like a laser gun, drops enemies within seconds. I used the Colossus suppressor, added the 30 round mag and used the other slots for decreasing recoil and ADS. Despite that the only issue I still have is the ADS speeds, maybe if I would have kept the stock mags I could have used a different attachment to increase ADS speeds, but overall, this is my fav gun for AR and beyond ranges. The other day someone was camping on one of those spectator boxes on Atlas Super store and I was able to kill him from the other end of the store (the other spectator box on the opposite end of the map) within seconds.

The Black Asp blueprint has excellent iron sights and can help free up an attachment slot. Thanks for the tips about the Stopping Power rounds with this, I didn’t think about it until now- that makes this thing a beast in CQC maps.

We actually got the Oden (ShAK-12) in COD Mobile, and its stats are similar to MW2019 as expected. Btw, in CODM, the Oden also have 2 additional types of 12.7x55 ammo in which MW2019 didn't have, namely the Subsonic rounds (also known as TP bullets), and hence the name, it fires heavier subsonic bullets that increases range but decreases velocity (in which it's illogical irl), and Duplex bullets (also known as DP Bullets), in which you have one extra bullet enclosed in a casing behind the first bullet, so you essentially shoot two bullets in one trigger pull. I actually used the Duplex rounds for close quarters use, in which you'll have a bigger hit probability in close range, and you still have a tight spread whenever you ADS in farther ranges.

The Oden is a beast if you play to its strengths and a slog if you play outside that. It’s a gun meant for the midrange and near long range. At short ranges enemies will beat your ADS time and at at far long range any weapon with better recoil or snipers will beat you. This weapon works best for people that play more methodical and don’t rush, though it won’t be much help to campers either, if someone knows where you are they’ll most likely be able to out gun you. Move carefully and aim to flank and ambush enemies, you’ll melt enemies before they know what hit them. This weapon is actually one of my best K/D weapons.

The ultimate setup for me - Colosus Supp, Biggest barrel and Merc foregrip. Rest is flavoring. I like the full ammo perk and the x3.5 scope. Up close - you can hip fire most people, because aiming down is so slow, but you can also kill ppl mid to VERY high ranges super easy in full auto. It is snipers' nightmare

To Anyone watching In 2022, do not use the commando foregrip on this gun! It is bugged and doesn’t help in any way. If you were going to use a commando instead of a vertical grip, you don’t need help with the recoil and you’d be better off using the attachment point for something else. My recommended loadout for warzone is: 810mm Barrel, Colossus supressor, Tac laser, 30 round mags, Canted hybrid optic (it has double the horizontal control of the VLK) and to be extra sweaty use the “apotheosis” reticle.

It is pretty funny how this gun actually ended up in the assault rifle class it is and assault rifle by definition however it is loaded quite literally in real life with light armor piercing rounds like light armor tanks vehicles etc this thing means business! It doesn't just leave holes in someone it leaves gaping cavities!

Lil Leroy I play mainly GW basically I’m using Ace’s 2nd setup but I’m using the longest barrel with the colossus and anything that helps with recoil. The only time I use it in full auto is when I’m moving otherwise I’m using it semi-auto.

It's really funny how it handles in game, complete opposite of reality. In real life it is literally a super-high "stopping power" CQB weapon, and handling with it is better than a lot of ARs probably, it is a bullpup after all.

No. It's a reduction to the vertical recoil. Stabilization reduces the side to side bounce of the recoil. Your inputs are irrelevant

I recommend using the semi auto mode for this gun. It's the only gun I'm game that I've found works nicer that way. Also you can put a sniper scope on it and it isnt a bad sniper.

I can tell u some info i got in private matches. It has 65m range (92m with largest barrel). After this range it only 1 shot kill in the head and neck. The time between shots is 1.55 seconds. The HDR has 100m range (130m with long barrel)

@@wiseone2333 Ax50 is better because it has better default scope and firerate but u must equip longest barrel to kill at long range. Best ax50 set up: longest barrel+all ads attachments (the long barrel decrease the ads speed but still 1 frame faster than the HDR if u try to quickscope)

Strangely, before the blanket nerf on all assault rifle hip fire stats, I found this thing to be a hip fire machine. Similar experience with the FAL, and honestly that one still works really well hip firing if you build it accordingly.

I hate the game, but during the times that I did play it, I neglected to use the ODEN in any capacity; and referred to the Uzi as my favourite Gun. But after finally using the ODEN for a while, I just fell in love with it. And I'm typically an SMG lover. The Kuda, GKS (Until I used the Rampart), MP7, MP5K ect. But something about the way this gun hits like a god damn truck just makes me feel warm and happy inside.

This weapon is like the quintessential Ground War weapon. You just do not care about the ADS speed and mobility with this. You just slap the most range giving attachments and a hybrid/4x optic on it and you can just sit or hold a flag all day and do some serious damage and counter snipe. Like max specced for range the Oden's 2 shot kill range stretches out to 110meters iirc which is insanely good for Ground war

I personally don't think so myself, I mean, I've watched my old man get 3 guns to gold in the past week, he's not exactly a godly player, but he apparently decided he wants to get gold on a bunch of his guns so he did Bizon, MP7 and the AK I believe and that's literally just from playing for a few hours a night, and not even every night of the last week. He never really used anything but the Kilo, which is why he has it at obsidian but he's going through these guns pretty damn fast And me personally I've never had an issue with getting weapons to gold. Levelling them up to unlock the challenges is a bit slow, sure, though if I want to level a gun I just put a weapon xp token on and play shipment, you'll jump like ten levels a match at times. The actual challenges are easy to do so Idk, I've never felt like they were that bad in MW.

In CW, different story because half the guns in that game are absolutely fucking garbage and getting kills, never mind multikills with them in that game is a massive pain in the ass, but most of MWs guns are always usable so I just never had a problem, though I also don't really try for gold because of them being pretty easy. Older games had more difficult camo challenges, so gold was a sign of skill, nowadays it's more to do with just how much time you've dumped into the game more than anything so they don't interest me. And yes the knife and riot shield is probably the hardest ones to do but the rest, eh

You can create the cod ghosts VKS sniper putting the sniper scope or variable zoom scope, bipod, 420 mm barrel (the shortest one) and colossus suppressor and for the last attachment you can use every thing you want (I use the stippled grip tape or sleight of hand)

VLK3.0x is the only sight in the game that reduces ADS time on this gun (it doesn't do it for any other). Stodeh runs it with the VLK, and the 810mm barrel, everything else pretty much the same. I find the VLK a great all around sight for mid-long distance.
