Great Odin! My daughter is heading to a comic con soon as Rey so this afternoon, after watching this video, I made one to using lots of the same things you did. It came out fantastic and I’m really happy with it, although it’s not completely finished as I need to wait for it to dry overnight before adding the leather, cloth and strap. I know Star Trek props probably don't bring top many hits but I loved your 3D chess and hope to see more. The TOS phaser rifle has some really interesting parts and shapes and it would be great to see how you tackle them.

If you want to cut something and you’re worried about it being brittle and possibly shattering, place some masking tape over your cut line then retrace your cut line on the tape, then cut. This is also very useful for cutting fiberglass and carbon fiber. It limits how much the cut end “frays” if at all.

no, several layers of individually cut foam circles with an embedded pvc core could work, or sections of various sized wood dowels, or if you want to get crazy, one could cut out circles from a material like mdf and stack those up... a lathe is not necessary, neither is a 3d printer.

Hello, Odin! I really like the props that you make, especially the lightsaber of course. Sadly, I don't have access to power tools or powerful LED's you've used. Could you make a more simplistic version out of PVC pipes and, desirably, a 12V LED strip. I've made a simple light-up lightsaber before(out of the retracting lightsaber from Hasbro, actually), but I can't add a soundboard to it.
