Same here brother. Spong is a complete beast. In fact, he is the fighter that I use the most for motivation when I work out. Solis on the other hand, is a shame that hes been so lazy lately, so this partnership can help him a lot, and will also help Spong learn a trick or two. Solis beat a 3-time olympic champion (Savon) when he was 18, mostly using his ring generalship. This should work for both.

For such a gifted athlete like Spong, I doubt there is anything out there he cant learn. This type of guy could play football or baseball professionally if he wanted to, or even switch to boxing. Cant deny talent.

Floyd Mayweather said ten years ago, that if spong gave up kickboxing and moved to America, Mayweather Sr said he could turn him into a world champion. What's a,axing about watching this video is that one guy is ranked No. 4 in the world as a kick boxer, and the other is ranked No 4 in the world as a boxer, and it's almost hard to tell which is which.

A kickboxer with world class boxing, is like an Olympic caliber wrestler with world class Jiu-jitsu. I personally find kickboxing to be a more exciting sport than MMA, but it would be interesting to see what would happen if Spong gets really good at wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu, and really devotes himself to MMA. Then again, guys that work at McDonalds make more money than the average UFC fighter, so unless if Dana comes up off that money, it don't make no $en$e for him to solely focus on MMA.

I think youre confusing straighter with cleaner. Solis draws a longer line with his punches, which is normal since he fights guys above 2 meters. At the end of the day they practice different sports, and they both look good in their realm.

Yea, but given the modern GSP version of dry humping guys, Jiu-Jitsu is almost irrelevant now, and the way most UFC fighters fight is by laying on top of guys, stalling the fight, and then winning boring shitty decisions. (Ahem GSP, Chael Sonnen & Daniel Cormier) And we know that's the way guys are going to try to fight Spong. I don't see anyone submitting him, and I damn sure don't see anyone knocking him out. The rules in MMA really need to change, and I'm tired of seeing boring wrestlers

Spong has solid boxing, but he's not a pure boxer, so Solis would come out ahead. Throw them in a ring together with kicks and knees, and Spong would.

I'm huge fan of Spong, he has mean boxing, and he would do good in boxing. But someone of Solis's caliber would beat him easily in boxing ring, no doubt about it.
