That's a very honest review Rohit. The interiors are pretty ordinary for the price. Reminded me of my Fabia. Even the reverse camera as you mentioned is ordinary.

Feeling a tad bit underwhelmed at the Kushaq first looks and drive feedback. Would expect the same level of interior quality from Skoda but a few compromises seem to be there. The pricing HAS to be aggressively right, else this is going to be a dud

@7:59 the fast tags have RFID in them, rains won't affect it. Perhaps it's the positioning and a limitation of the RFID scanners at tolls.

Kushaq media review is nothing less than blockbuster movie. This is my 4th review watch since morning yet this is best detailed review, infact better than Renuka of Autocar. Leaving that aside I am upgrading from my 2011 jazz which feels very confident on steering feedback, space and limited body rolls. Was waiting for this car for almost an year. I do not like a very light steering like the cretas, yet this mentioned light steering. Would test drive before booking the 1.5 lt. interesting taigun would launch during that time too.. any suggestions? Would love to hear more from you about the kushaq, yet too much plastic is definitely a dampener.. kudos to the review though

New Creta doesnt have very light steering like previous one and if you want more heft, Seltos has the most in koreans. I understand your feeling of Jazz as i own City with great steering but i found the new koreans to have more heft and consistency but less rich in feedback

Feels like 1.5 Style MT is my pick. I test drove a Creta SX(O) diesel manual gearbox. Creta might not be the best handler. But was comfortable for no nonsense riding in the city as well as the highway. Was looking at the Ecosport Titanium Diesel, Venue SX Diesel and Creta E diesel manual. For comfort, plush ride, boot space and descent performance, I'd pick the Creta E over Venue SX any day. Ecosport Diesel was great to drive and of course it wasn't quick as the Creta/Venue in straight roads, it seemed like it handled higher speeds better and fun to drive in corners and tight spaces than the Creta. If I'm single, I'd choose the Ecosport Titanium and save my precious money for fuel and maintenance. Looking at the practicality and family, I think Creta E might be the better choice with 10-11L Ex showroom budget. Of course, there's Honda City V MT on my budget. But, as the Kushaq Active variant and City V MT are available only on petrol, they are less favorites. But, my heart still leaps for Rapid 1.0 TSI and City V MT 5th gen Petrol. But, as I'll be riding 20,000 Km at least an year, my brain doesn't allow me to consider both above and the new Kushaq. Wish me luck. ... 😢

European carmakers often overprice their mass-market cars in India. Opportunity for the Kushaq lies in not rivaling the Creta and Seltos but in being positioned as an upgrade from Breeza, Venue and Sonet( Kushaq is much better than Breeza, Venue and Sonet). Where did Skoda get its market research done from!!

First of all thanks for sharing tiniest of the details and observations. This paints a complete picture of what Kushaq has to offer. As for the vehicle, its built to price so there has been trimming of equipment and as long as the prices undercut Koreans by a good margin; I don't see a reason to complain. Hopefully they don't take the Octavia route an go bonkers on the pricing.

Ahh the rear camera quality is terrible, God knows what it will be able. to show in dark conditions, whats the use of the 10 inch display if the rear view is not projected fully on the screen also no dynamic guidelines as well in a 2021 car? seems skoda went overboard with cost cutting! The more i am looking at various reviews i am into mixed feelings now and getting disappointed.... It cant be a creata killer with so many omissions and apparent cheapning of the overall product....

No doubt i will definately go with 1.0 litre Kushaq rather than 1.5 DSG its manual transmission has got real punch and juicyness of character than comparatively dull 1.5 automatic, 1.0 litre is so puncy and safety proof too with 6 airbags

Insightful review, calling spade a spade rather than going ga-ga about a new product. It was expected that price war will result some fancy equipment missing compared to Korean giants. I guess many would be happy to trade Air Purifiers for a 5 star NCAP rating (if that comes through). However front electric seat adjustment, 360 camera and LCD instrument cluster would have made it very appealing. I almost bought Seltos but low 3 star was big turn off.

Hello, Taigun 1.0 Topline manual vs GT 1.5 manual. Which is better in long run. For GT manual I have to compromise on some very good features but will get a bigger engine. I do appreciate constructive criticism, but saying people are going to compare this car with the S Cross? that's a bit over the top and absurd. In terms of wheel base, drive train options, dynamics, features, fit and finish its more in line with the Creta/Seltos whether you like it or not. Also your comment on saying the car being a Polo on stilts ? seriously? No one said that except you. Im sure you know the Polo in India is not even based on the MQB platform, even if it was the case, every other compact monocoque SUV is either based on their Brand's sedan or hatch. Doesn't make the argument any better or worse. But i do agree with few of your points like, digital instrument cluster would have been nicer, i would at the least expect a color MFD and the car could have been slightly wider. Overall i think you have vocally shown your disappointment probably due to your higher expectation. But even in your channel im sure most will agree doing a Kushaq vs Creta/Seltos will make more sense than a Kushaq vs S Cross. But usually i do like your reviews. Cheers !

On outside design they got it right..interiors though, they could have done a better job..all those negative points does make sense..cylinder modes is good option..but 8 and 10 kmpl is jus laughable! With jus build quality as its forte, im not ready to spend on this car..i would rather go for nexon or xuv300, brezza or creta..and if the price is not aggressive, then this car jus doesn't make sense!

Too much negative review - No point or discussion about safety. Powerband is from 2000 RPM and honestly it revs even in automatic much better than any Korean sibling.

Offcourse Seltos/ Creta are at their best in 1.4 ltr Turbo Petrol engine.. But what sells more is the 1.5 ltr naturally aspirated petrol amongst all!!.. The reviewers will always talk about a slower engine to be a dud!.. Infact no reviewer in India is yet to even test the 1.5 ltr petrol of Creta/ Seltos properly!!.. Shame.. On the same lines inspite of reviewers going gaga over the 1.5 TSI turbo.. The maximum sales will come from the tried & tested 1.0 ltr turbo due to its cheaper price point & more value!.. So my pick in the whole range would definitely be 1.0 ltr Torque Converter Auto for the Kushaq..

1. Virtual Cockpit is missing. 2. One touch up-down power windows missing & windows glass up & down is noisy. 3. Rear camera is pathetic & worst , never expect from Skoda 🤕 Digital dial luks so simple & old basic in today's generation. Cockpit gives a positive response to the driving .
