I feel it’s a good contrast between modern and ancient, but the ancient one does flow more naturally as it was clearly designed that way and then adapted to English, but the Greek version plays when introducing the main character then the modern version plays during the end credits, I think they’re a good “Beginning and End” counterpart to each other.

I honestly think they could have done a better job adapting it to the modern sounds. I feel like they tried too hard to give it that hard sci-fi edge and it harmed the overall feel of the song. The original is almost like a lullaby, from a mother to her son. The instrumentation in the ancient version works with that, but here the instrumentation fails to deliver that feeling. It should have reflected mother earth singing to humanity. But we don't feel that.

I enjoy both this version and the Greek one, if you think about it, the musical elements for the Modern version make total sense. In the start of the game we hear the Greek version as Kassandra is yet to begin her journey. She lives her life doing odd jobs on a small but lovely island. By the end of the game and certainly by the credits, the Modern version takes centre stage. By now we have learned of Kassandra's destiny and responsibility (I feel this is excellently expressed by the rhythm of the percussion, it imbues certainty and determination) and that she is very likely to have travelled the world to fulfil her destiny during her long life. The use of English here helps to express her transcendence from the small Greek island and ties her fate to the rest of humanity, past and present. 'Odyssey' is the perfect theme, whether past or present day :)

Okay, so I've never actually played this game, but my friend has and he got me to listen to the OST, and this is probably one of my favourites. Eerie and haunting, but my favourite bit is the time signature changes during the verse. In each phrase, the second bar is in 5/4, before returning to 4/4, and I love it so much! Just goes to show that some weird experimentation can really work and make something amazing. It adds to the tension and eeriness of the song as well. Love it.

I only played Oddysey recently, about to start Valhalla, it's become one of my favourite games in and outside of the assassins franchise and heard this version today after completing the crossover missions, it blew me away I love the Greek version and to hear this modern version out of nowhere..wow!its perfect! I hope the assassin's games stay how they are now, just open worlds set in ancient times, I'd love a follow up to Oddesy though, like Ezio had a few games, Alexios and Kassandra deserve more than 1 game that's for sure. 💜

It is the problem of vowels. The Greek version has more A O E I U. It closer to the classical singing way so it sound more relaxing. Of coures word choise of english version can fix the vowel problem. This version is more like pop music
