As a American southern woman, theres no accent more charming than the Scottish Highlander's . Maybe Im biased since my grandpa had it. Although my maternal grandpa had a south German accent and when he spoke German, it would scare all the grandkids.... Especially when his brothers came around and the whole house was booming with German. 😂 Scary times for us kids 😂😂😂

I wonder if time team was ever on VCR or DVD. RememberVCR and DVD... when you payed for something once and it was yours as long as you took care of it... and every episode of any show on dvd was available without needing to search and search. I miss those days. If anybody knows if its possible to buy every time team episode please tell me 😊

Time Team often remarks about the bad weather at these sites and wonder out loud about how people could have made a living, during the bronze age, anglo-saxon period and early medieval period. Did these scientists just NOT know that the climate was warmer 4000 years ago (holocene climate optimum), 2000 years ago (Roman warm period) and warmer again 1000-700 years ago (Viking Warm Period)?
@jtorola
@jtorola Жыл бұрын
It wasn't that much warmer. Especially in Scotland
@christinem3914
@christinem3914 Жыл бұрын
I think it helps with the show’s content. The weather at the site might well be an obvious question that a lay person or tv viewer may ask which then allows one of the experts to lead into an explanation. Which then leads to a learning experience 😀
@phillipburke9522
@phillipburke9522 Жыл бұрын
Are you not aware that this is a television program? Tony plays the part of the 'everyman' and asks questions like "how could people make a living in this climate?" for the sake of the viewer. It is not a representation of their actual knowledge. It's disturbing when someone can rattle off dates like you just did, but not understand something else so basic. Get your head out of your ass please Scott.
