Renaissance Arquebus-wielding Ogre. Kudos to the company with the cool variation.

I just bought and am currently painting a set of these figures. I'm in Australia and they cost me $55.00 for a box, I have seen them for $50.00 at other shops. These are going straight into my WHFB 4th ed empire army.

Sorry for being a bit off with the pricing! Do you feel they are still good value for money at that price?
@bilko991 Жыл бұрын
Nothing to apologise for mate! Price wise Wargames Atlantic are very good value over here, probably why they are often out of stock. There have been quite a few price rises here lately, Gripping Beast historical plastic boxes are about $72.00 now, they were $60 to $65 until recently.

Question, how does their size compare to 40k ogryns?
@Gumlass1 Жыл бұрын
It's $54 AUD ... and shipping is very affordable as they have a warehouse in Aus.

Thanks, very helpful video. I appreciate you showing the empire soldier for scale, my only concern with this kit was the size. Will definitely grab these for my IG.

They already have halflings with gambesons and light armour but I agree that would be very cool to see!

Thanks very much. What are you going to use them for?

@@SpymasterGaming Mostly Age of Fantasy, but will probaly use them in rpgs and any other mini agnostic game I can fit them in to.

The box is a bargain. I am seriously considering getting the Damned Ogres when they are finally released for my Horus Heresy army. Honestly I am quite surprised that WGA didn't make any attempt to create space marines proxies.
@SpymasterGaming Жыл бұрын
I think there are enough 3D printer options out there for space marines and wargames atlantic definitely have their own aesthetic going which wouldn't lend itself to that. The damned range is the closest they've got to straying properly into 40k territory though so who knows they might end up doing it yet!

@@SpymasterGaming I beg to differ. The whole dead fields range is pretty much a proxy for 40k be it penal legion , Vorstroyans, Praetorians or otherwise. As for space marines companies here in Poland had been manufacturing 3rd party resin models for nearly 20 years at this point, a hard plastic kit made in same manner would be a logical step up.
@SpymasterGaming Жыл бұрын
@Kharmazov true but they are also in the process of creating their own rules for the game and the units have very different back stories. The vostroyan, praetorian etc don't have rules currently either in 40k so there is some creative license allowed too. I think making clone space marines would see them being criticised, although if they went for a unique enough aesthetic they may get away with it 🤔

@@SpymasterGaming First time Ive heard WGA working on rules. Would be quite odd considering their minis are purposely designed to be "system agnostic", one of the reasons they lack bases. As for their own SM as I have mentioned before it wouldn't be anything different from what other companies had already done in resin.
