When you look at it, styx really is a broken soul. I say this since I've played Master of Shadows, and Shards of Darkness. The ghost scene that styx has in this game show that he still has his own demons still lurking around him despite all he's been through.

Boy this game's story is...surprisingly complex...for a game about orcs. I noticed the same thing with Styx Master of Shadows. For a series that lacks in visual quality and writing they're certainly ambitious with their narratives.

Why have I never heard of this game before? 40 min in and it's freaking great, good acting, nice atmosphere, a damn shame you couldn't have put ANY battle scenes in, but that something a quick youtube search fixed for me. Only 600 reviews on steam too, this game is virtually unknown.

The reply is hella late but no it's not. The guy with the burnt face at the end of master of shadows is Barron Aaron. The guy in this is an inquisitor who got burnt when Styx and Arkail burned down the church. Aaron was burned by Original Styx (the orc one) who used amber to connect eachother and see where querberos is.

Many Trolls are also creatures who are hostile to the aesir and human. But the term "Jotun" actually means "mighty or violent" it has nothing to do with gigantism.

honestly this game has many flaws and just from this video the voice acting goes from really good with the main characters to the random intern that happened to be at work however the setting and the world of this game along with the story itself is weirdly more complex and really interesting a lot more then you would think at first glance. even the open ending kinda felt like yes an good ending but also open for a large sequel, probably won't see it but it could be really interesing with enough effort.
