Really sorry that you were so under the weather in all possible ways Kris. You have been flogging yourself really and probably lasted much longer than most of us would have. The results of your very hard work are really terrific though and admirably green too, excellent in every respect.

The best of the best of natural building techniques channels. We are loving it mate. So authentic, natural, brutal at times, LOVING IT!!!! That 100K subscribers - well it is going to increase. Why? Because your approach is practical, low budget, not delusional. There are many "delusional" type channels out there. You are practical. You use power tools because it is efficient, powered by your hybrid renewable energy system. But your smartness does not stop there [ i.e., non-delusional] you deploy your generator when you need to, as back-up. Well done mate, WE ARE LOVING IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sydney Australia.

Good job Kris. This winter has everyone down, when you live "on the land" it really affects you. Personally I think the feeling of lethargy I get in a bad winter like this is o form of human hibernation. I know so many people this year who feel the same symptoms , I think we are all pesudo hibernating. And the tease of the windmill is just bang out of order, we need a full video on the plan this afternoon, the Holy Trinity of renewables - wind - solar - hydro on the same site, perfect.

In wood shop class in school we had to oil the beds of all the steel tools, to keep them from rusting during the night or weekends. This trick may just keep your new tools from tarnishing when not in use whilst in your damp-ish shop.. LOVED THAT Door..... WOW !!!! and Also the new work bench...

I’ve been with you for a long time and eagerly waited for each video to come out as you built your round house. I think it was your shed that got me hooked as you created a post and beam framework out of twisted gnarly logs. We may not have always seen eye to eye but I knew you would hit the 100K subscriber level fairly quickly. Hopefully you get the upper shop built in the next little while so you can finally finish that wall beside the stairway when it eventually dries out. Congrats on the 100K plus and best wishes for the future.

I had (still have)a 24v 600w dc nominal windturbine. Taking it down after storm Doris was one of the best things I did, the stress of having a small turbine in a storm is off the scale. Wooden blades will require yearly servicing, and they had better be balanced to within 1 gram or you'll ruin your bearings. My turbine requires new bearings, as losing a blade will do that to it. A blade being just that, in a storm. Good luck.

Cranberry juice, yeah right, looked like a nice dry Bordeaux to me. ;-) Seriously: Where I live now (Western North Carolina) a lot of the old houses have stamped clay/earth basement floors most likely without the addition of any artificial binding agent. They all are hard as glass (after several decades of use). The only thing I suppose they are vulnerable to over time are vibrating point loads from for instance levelers of heavy machinery. Just sayin'. Hope you shake that bug soon.
