Dang Brother! I have been watching the progress on this building since the beginning! As a 15 year veteran, general contractor,. I have to say, That is by far the coolest structure I have ever seen built!! What a work of art! and should stand strong for generations as long as the roof stays sealed! The roof starting to leak is the only thing that would ever deteriorate that structure!!

It has probably been said several times. But this is what i find amazing. Someone has a skillset. And offers too help with that skill. Can you imagine if more people would have that mindset? I'm not promoting free labour the entire time or something... but helping one another. Thats a trait that helps a society evolve into something better... oh well just my opinion. Keep up the great work. I think this is amazing what you are doing! Kind regards from Belgium.

I agree ! In our daily lives in the modern world, JOBS have been leading us (me) down a road of mindlessness, futility, and less skills. The more I work ( hourly) the less I have to hold onto ! If others helped one another complete something, there is love ,community and rest

i find it so strange that the modern ideal life isn’t this...also ben is a legend
@eldsprutandedrake4 жыл бұрын
Is there such a thing as a generalized ideal life you mean? I think there's as many ideas on that concept as there are people...
@peterbigo99514 жыл бұрын
Svampmoln not really sure, it seems that the comment refers to the classical ideal life, look at it as the American dream. The house, the job, the family, the friends, that’s the general ideal life, few would want to life in the sticks with only birds as company, with no maintenance man fixing things.
@eldsprutandedrake4 жыл бұрын
@@peterbigo9951 But even so, the core there is friends and family I think, that most people can agree on, not all though. But the materialistic things and living place is just "to taste". I think many people would argue that what is shown in the videos here is opulence. Many building, large land, vehicles etc. While others seem to think that this is close to nature, and others still that the ideal is to not have any material possessions at all and so on. Also, "The American dream" seems so weird as a concept, especially here on youtube. On a channel that is not American, with an audience that is from all over the world. I don't identify with it at all, but I'm European.
@peterbigo99514 жыл бұрын
Svampmoln the American dream, is relevant in that it paints this picturesque image of what the majority want, which is the white picket fence, detached house, front porch etc. That can be adapted to anywhere and any country. If you surveyed 100 people I would be supposed if anyone came back and said they would want what this channel is doing, they would maybe show a similar ideal simply life, less stress etc. This channel and it’s content demonstrates extreme living to the majority and that’s because it is most people want running water, electric at the flick of a switch. From this you can start to draw a generalised ideal life.
@eldsprutandedrake4 жыл бұрын
@@peterbigo9951 I still don't entirely get your point, or buy the idea of there being such a thing as an ideal way of life. But I'm mostly relating to people I know. I'm the same age as Chris here, kids bore me and don't appeal to me at all. I like the idea of family, but I don't see kids as a necessary part of a family. Also I'd take a nice apartment over a house anytime :D There are simply too many situations and views out there for there to be a generalized ideal way of life unless you generalize so much that it loses meaning. Home/Love/Security might fit close to everyone, but that's not a way of life anymore, it's more like Maslow's hierarchy of needs at that point.

I'm totally envious of a life like this. If I didn't have the health issues I have, I'd have looked to get something going with friends long ago that was a carefully engineered arms length control of closeness to society to still maintain connections with essential resources and yet still far enough from suburbia to not be bothered by the stress and anxiety that is literally in the air. True off-grid living is unachievable for people from suburbia due to our reliance on utilities but extracting yourself enough for a better mental, emotional and physical life is achievable once you've secured good land and it's workable on a number of levels. I guess these vids offer me an understanding and option to appreciate and vicariously live in someone else's experiences and be thankful in knowing that someone else has done & still doing well after taking a leap of faith! Keep up the good work, Kris!

Archery, don't move your Head to the string, move the string to your head. Keep your Head absolutely straight ;) If you reload, don't move your feet, put the arrows right beside you where you can grab em without doing much movement. Quiver would help Choose always the same stand, shoulder-width stand, in line to your target. Archery is absolutely great! :D Greetings from an olympic recurve archer Btw., 50 pounds? 30 would've done the job for beginning ;)
