This is a good book. Does provide a step by step introduction to how to build things kzbin.infoUgkxhgbP-6hUnXu_QRaoHgLztgsI0YF3HqR0 , also does offer some steps. Includes pictures to give you ideas for layouts and such. If you are looking for a guide, this is not exactly what you want. But if you are trying to familiarize yourself with the way that pole barn building and other out buildings, are made, then this will work just as you need it to. A few things in this book are a barn (of course), detached garage, storage building, and coops.

Sure, but he is young with no formal training nore has he done carpentry as a job where you learn a lot from your boss or the more experienced guys. He has been very upfront about his lack of experience and just using common sense and doing what seems right or right enough. I highly doubt this is his last cabin and I'n also sure he has learned a lot of what works and what not so much. He's a young man doing his thing and keeping it real who's not afraid of work. Going with an all propane stove will uncomplicate your cooking tasks. Not a big stove but not a big family to cook for (yet). Going to work out fine. As far as the syrup making goes that can be a chore in itself. So rewarding though. More good ideas you are tackling for us to witness. You're a very creative person. I look forward to your videos.

Probably the best time you could've taken that stove out with the height of the snow compared to the back of the truck. I was like that might be a pain to load up but was great to see you be able to just easily pull it up to the back of the truck bed. Great stuff man.

One thing to note when tapping maples, it's said that you shouldn't blow into the holes to clear them out. The bacteria in your breath can make the holes close up faster. Just run the drill bit in and out a a few times to clear any chips. Maple syrup is the best early spring hobby. Ice fish all winter, maple syrup in the early spring, spring fishing, summer is baseball for my 3 sons, and fall is hunting. Life is good.

I tapped on Thursday about 1/2 hour north of Duluth, very minimal drips so far, but that’s to be expected with 3 foot of snow on the ground. I’d recommend actually shoveling out around the base of the trees so they can thaw out & swell up sooner. If you & Cierra need, I have a bunch of those 5/16 metal spiles I can send to you.

Cheap maple syrup taps. By some 1/2 OD pvc. Cut into 4 inch section. To not need wire on jugs cut a hole in the side near top. In pvc taps cut a slit in top half so you can hang water jug right from taps. We rarely had them blow off if you did it right. And super easy then to dump when collecting.

You mentioned in a previous video that you were going to leave your cat out when the weather gets better. Unfortunately, the predators will likely get her. Especially if she is left out overnight. Maybe, if you only let her out loose when you are out doing work in the yard ? That way, the predators will stay away. ❤
