I switched over to lithium a couple of years back...still not completely sold for my atv, but the toyhauler seems to be ok....time will tell if the up front $ penalty is worth the regular deep cycle exchange program...at least with the deep cycle's, I get a new battery every couple of years. My LiPo's say a 10 year life cycle, but I have to wait and see if that is realistic. One bonus is the ability of LiPo's getting almost 100% of the AmpHr's, where deep cycles running approx 50%. That allowed me to replace 2 - 100 AmpHr batteries with 1 - 135 AmpHr battery and get the same usable life at a fraction of the weight....cold does affect the efficiency and charging though...🤷♂

That’s a great point about these batteries in that all the power is available unlike lead acid. This small 50Ah battery is almost as powerful as a 100Ah lead acid battery. This little guy served me well. Thanks a lot for watching buddy and for your input .

Nice light weight option for sure. 72 hours running a truck camper is pretty impressive if you ask me. My Dad used to run a battery bank and solar at his camp to run just a couple little lights. 4 big ole lead acid batteries fully charged would run the lights for 2 evenings. With a battery like this he could have run the lights in the camp and took it in the boat to run a trolling motor too. I appreciate hearing your thoughts on this man, thanks for sharing.

This is the kind of info, and demonstration, that I need in order to compare options. I appreciate that you take the time to figure out how these things work, and assess the pros and cons, for the type of use that people like us would have. I have bought a couple backup battery/solar setups in the past that were pretty underwhelming, so it is great that you are putting these products through their paces for us. See you out on the trails. 🐻🌲☕🔪🏴☠

Nice review on the battery! How are you liking the truck camper? We are thinking of switching over to a truck camper from our trailer, to get a little more comfort in the backcountry camping and hunting.
