I found the chapters in kzbin.infoUgkxYGamVaHfdHiPlAQaLa7zkwR02OKpGYDU to be very relevant to my project as I embarked on building my first ever structure from the ground up. I especially found this Ryan’s Shed Plans to be of great use when it came to building the roof. I was able to do all the cuts and installation by myself, with a little reference to this Ryan’s Shed Plans.

Not at all difficult. As you said yourself below, he did it himself. There are schools who teach young students how to build them for less than $25K. People today think they can't, and so they don't. It's easier to sit at home and watch other people do it. We need another generation of hippies who create and build alternative housing. Current housing already costs way beyond the means of young people. Get off your butts or be prepared to live in tents under the interstate. If you have to hire help, don't grudge paying them for their work.

Overall, one of the best designs of the thousands I've looked at. The eight-feet of empty floor makes the place appear much roomier. Lowering the loft also takes away the "I can't breathe" feeling in most lofts. Claire scampered up the short ladder like a baby goat. Storage beneath the loft was clever. I've already put that skinny refrigerator on my list. Living in a rural spot, you don't have the luxury of running to a store twice a week. Oh, and the awning which opens onto the deck...and the big shower...they really put a lot of thought into this. I hope this works out for both them and the neighbors.

I have been so hooked on this old new way of living.., because of the way big companies and corrupt politicians have mislead and duped their employers over all these years it's gotten to the point of just to live you, have to slave your entire life away so that others can profit off of your struggle and hard work to survive. What stands out most to me about this tiny house is the great designing and overall excellent way they thought of their needs and wants from their space , and the way it worked out so well and beautifully in functional life living. Also the fact that having a hot woman whose into all of the hard work it takes to help make it a reality. So my hats off to both of them. Great job !!!

Another alternative for off grid energy would be a wind turbine.It can be adapted to your site as well. This couple could put poles or towers fastened to their solar trailer. To get the wind you need. I can only see height as the only obstacle. A vawt style uses lower wind speeds vs a hawt. Also a wind turbine doesn't need the sun to work. Just wind.

Very well thought out tiny house and property! -- You have married the best of both worlds! CA can be a challenging state to manage your budget. We built our 988 sq ft cottage in 2016, in the woods of New Hampshire, at the base of our family farm. That said, we are both in our 70s and I needed a larger farm kitchen. Full walk-out basement replaces a garage. Carport makes it more friendly in the rain and snow. Its all a matter of your personal needs. You both are miles ahead of making off- grid doable. Suggestion: I use a mid sized, battery operated, megaphone 📢 to scare the " tar" out of the 🐻 black bears :-O

@jbster2113 жыл бұрын
@Kellie Thorne It IS a "new style of building" for tiny homes. Not many have done it. Don't know why though. It's exactly what I want to do. And I don't agree with the too heavy comment either. Even if it was a few hundred pounds heavier, shouldn't matter. Tiny home building/designing is always about sacrificing 'this' for 'that'
