We got a camp in the UP since the 70s and there’s nothing better then sitting there watching all the wildlife Even seen my first wolf

Yep, me and my family been hunting northern wisconsin since the 1860s. However, all my relatives have passed and it is just me and my wife and girls now along with my cousin and his boy. Kind of sad that they are all gone but still trying to keep the tradition alive. nothing better than sitting in the wild listening to all the wildlife and enjoying the time with family. if you get a buck it is just frosting on the cake!

Night before the opener is always the hardest day to fall asleep. I always toss and turn like a little kid the day before opening the Christmas presents.

We are buying property up on the Keweenaw this summer. Excited to get out in hunt in real wilderness. Ohio has been nice, but just too much pressure on public lands and private land is a little more pricey down here than up in the U.P.

Thanks for the super video! My brothers and I have been going to the U.P. since 1985 until 2 years ago when THEY decided we weren’t going anymore. I was heartbroken! I just texted them this video in hopes that it reminds them of the joy and camaraderie that we had and would change their mind.

Sorry man. Unfortunately, it seems like a lot of camps closed/fell apart after the devastating winters in 2013, 2014 & 15. That was a real blow to us u.p. hunters ! I'm glad the heard is rebounding. Time for your brother's to bring camp back to life again for sure !! Thanks for watching.

Nice buck!!! I knew we were gonna have good luck. I have a weird story, and wish I could share a pic. At 1030 opening morning I was hunting with my son and he shot a beautiful 8point buck with crab claws and webbed horns that look almost identical to this one! What’s even better is we saw you guys up here and wished you good luck!!!! I have feeling we hunt in the same general area as well. Thanks for the cool videos!

You guys should check out a company called IWOM there from Pennsylvania, they make a great Body suit as they call it . I have one and have sat in a stand in northern Maine muzzle loader season in -30 degrees all day , bought a demo model for 350$ best money I've ever spent hunting.

Yessir we do look up William b bankhead national forest its 20 min form my house and they have a wma inside of it aswell big deer and ingot some land too more than welcome to ride down anytime!

OMG, a marksman hunter! You picked your spot, aimed and shot your animal. So, nice to see and watch a video where you actually shot the buck while he was walking and did not have to go ba ba ba to make him stop and kiss you before shooting. So, sick of this garbage! If people cannot shoot a walking, trotting, running deer then they should not be hunting. You guys are out sitting in the elements freezing your butt and suffering while taking a nice buck and that is what it is all about. You show great respect for the animal you are hunting and not diminish the sport to just KILLING something. Good job! Nice north country buck.
