Doug and Stacy was the first homestead channel I watched. I learned so much from them, even though I’m not a homesteader. When Doug started speaking out against the tyranny gripping my country, I developed a tremendous newfound respect for him. I admire bravery in this age of speech suppression. I've been watching Doug and Stacy for wow almost 7 years now. They were a small KZbin channel when I 1st started watching them. I absolutely love their videos on homesteading, their animals, and Stacy's canning videos and preparing videos. DOUG and STACY is the reason why my family is moving to Missouri! I'm in the process of fixing our current house, to put it up for sale, 3 bedroom 2 bathroom on one Acer, with a storefront on a little plot down the street that's going with the one Acer lot, we only want 60 for it, we're in the country in VA. But once we sell our little homestead, we're going to move to Missouri to live like Doug and Stacy, completely off grid! Starting in an RV. I can't wait! I love Doug and Stacy for how they impacted my life! They helped me to leave the city in the 1st place 2 years ago! And hopefully soon, they'll help me and encourage me to move to Missouri! Of course I've never met Doug or Stacy, they don't know me, although I like to think I know them, after 7 years of watching them. I still watch Doug and Stacy to this day! I love their channel! They are great people! Honest hardworking, people who walk with truth! They walk with God!

I've never seen another KZbinr with the determination you have. When I first found your channel about 4 years ago, I found someone who shared the same values & interests as me. The canning, prepping, grocery hauls etc. ( I do however have no desire to be off grid. I haven't been watching all the homesteading shows I use to I think I'm not in the loop of knowing what happening with Doug and Stacy. I fear that like some of the other folks that try to live off the grid, they come up against opposition. Too bad people can't just live and let live. Now my hello to you, Dear one! Sorry, but Doug is not good and honest. He is using the tricks of the lowest of the low to grow his channel, he gets hundreds of thousands in sponsorship and adsense while he does no homesteading. I watched him for a bit and don't see him doing anything in the space, just trying to view and like cranking. His channel is a complete work of fiction.

You need to stay true to yourself no matter what and NEVER forget where you came from to keep your feet planted firmly along your journey. Doug was kind enough to respond with encouraging words when many others would have looked down their nose. NEVER forget to give all glory to God for life and all your many blessings. Saying “Never” and meaning it for the important things in life is the right thing to do. You are enough Tessie, just remember that and NEVER forget it. We watch your videos because of YOU, and the many aspects of your life we are invited to share. Try not to be distracted by what other channels do to grow. Slow and steady finishes the race. Nicely said Tessie about the encouragement he gave you so many years ago and how it has helped you over the years. I haven't watched their channel as frequently these past couple years, but I have seen recently that there have been a number of videos he has posted regarding more political and world event topics. These are volatile subjects and I suppose they can be rubbing some people the wrong way, so maybe that's why the channel has become a topic of conversation. As always, I'm glad to see you handle the requests you received from your viewers regarding them with such grace without getting drug into unnecessary controversy. Take Care!!

I don't know what part of country you're in, but I KNOW we'd be friends. I am old. My parents grew up during the great depression. Most all died before I could learn all they had to teach. Some of the things, I'd totally forgotten about. I love your style, your way of speaking. I love you to pieces. I admire and respect you.

I have never heard of or watched Doug and Stacy's channel but will pop over for a quick look now. Tessie you have a heart of gold. To see channels that started with you or after you go past you in subs must get you down a little (It is human nature) but you are happy for them and that just shows us all, the beautiful person you are. I hope that one day you will reach your viewing goals as you do deserve it.

Hello Tessie! I found you about 6 months ago because I was looking for something different. I found that in yours. I've been trying to simplify my life since retiring a couple yrs ago. I found you and some of the way you do them. I watch lots of KZbin people and enjoy most. You just keep doing things your way & you and others will continue to enjoy them. We found D&S two or three years and like others I enjoy. Like them and how the show people who are interested how to survive without lots of item in your life. Learned a lot about farm life. I know it's hard not to deal with the drama that happens. But you are you & I hope you stay the person I watch. 😊

I was big in watching prepper and survivor channels almost 15 years ago and some of the names have come and gone, and my interest has waxed and waned, but somehow I missed your channel. I happened to find it today on this very video when I was searching for a specific Doug & Stacy video. I'm so happy to see that you were professional, magnanimous, and stayed above the fray. I really wasn't going to say anything But then I saw your video and I thought you know I need to say something about this I really try to stay away from the drama these last two years The older I get the least interest I have in videos that would be considered drama but you know I wanted to share the good in people I think that if people would start lifting other people up it would be so much better than trying to tear them down I love your videos I need to comment more i'm so extremely tired by the evening I just like to listen to videos and not comment I'm sure you can understand that

Have watched Off Grid with Doug and Stacy and Heidi of Rain Country for years, for a variety of reasons. One being consistency. They walk the talk and never deviate from what they believe. Stacy and Heidi like me make various fermented foods. They also eat a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. Both channels are rare in that they do NOT eat processed foods, junk food. Ten months ago Stacy did a great video '60 year old eats this everyday for Health and Vitality' where she noted that when you add fresh ginger to another herb it makes it more effective. Have done that ever since. Doug did a nice video around three years ago 'WHY I wear "AMISH" clothes' where at the 10:50 mark he shares why he dresses like he does. Like our family they only wear natural fibers (cotton, linen, wool) which are well made. LOVE Heidi of Rain Country because she is consistent and always wears skirts. She did a nice video 4 years ago ' Skirts: Why I Wear Them' where she speaks modestly. Again, she is consistent!
