Off Leash Trained at 16 Weeks With No Treats?!?!?!?!?

Can you actually train a puppy to listen off leash with no long line and no treats? We train dogs of every age and personality how to listen off leash. We believe that off leash training is the best gift you can possibly give your dog because it allows them to truly be a dog. Dogs are meant to run and explore and if they aren't off leash trained they will be limited on what they are allowed to do.
Expert trainer Matt Covey walks you through some off leash training with one of our clients' dogs and gives you tips on how to achieve this with your dog. This pup is a 16 week old Border Collie and is super smart/adorable!
One of the first steps is to proof the word "no". If your dog doesn't listen to you and breaks a command what happens? If you have proofed the word no and you can stop them verbally then a broken command is not a big deal. If they take off running and ignore you then obviously it is a big deal and can lead to a lot of dangerous situations.
