Done this track twice. 1st time it rained the whole day. Try even walking on that rock wet. It's what they make Teflon out of. Blew a sidewall midway up that steep hill climb. That was fun changing. Had to run out the winch line to help steady the GQ. Best track in that area.

To be honest I don’t think I’d want to do it in the wet. It was crazy how slippery. I’d hate to change a tyre let alone that gb there.

Great video Matt. Don’t want to brag mate, but the handbrake on my 105 works great. Was a bit sus when I got the 4by, but a new set of pads and it holds me on the steepest hill. 😁

I can have it perfect go for a wheel no mud and it’s gone by the end of the trip. And I’ve owned a number of these and had the same thing go on. I’m about to replace the whole system on the 105 to see how that goes.

The gear box will be out of a little ute like a Hilux that my self, Dad, Sister, and sisters partner went to warn. The young couple in the hilux were with two lifted chopped 80s and the hilux was on 31s no lift no bull bar or winch but still continued the track.

Good to see dad and his boys doing camping and 4WDING together in one of the bests places on the planet I’ve been 4wding for years up there can’t get enough of the place. My youngest boy is into camping and 4wding was will .we have Currently have bought a father and project in a GQ station wagon Which is stock as a rock other than a Holden 253 red motor been implanted in it before we bought the car off my deceased uncle state we are currently fixing it up hoping to get out on the track soon .Me in the 80 series and Matt in his GQ .One question mate what was your tyre pressures you guys were running up there they looked a bit high but hard to tell in the video With my 80 series I do usually run around the 15 PSI in the front and 18 to 20 in rear Which gives you a good footprint specially on the rocks cheers Darren Keep the good work going mate Your videos are great

Thanks mate. Great to hear of your builds. Because we were all over the shop with speed and different tracks for 3 weeks we sat them a little higher. I think I was around 20psi cold. My 105 was sitting around 3200kgs.

As I mention about The white 80 it’s an air leaker. The 105 has an intermittent leak in the rear locker around the air seal. It’s a right pain. One day I’ll have it out and will fix it.

Mate honestly i think it comes down to what you like the look of and suits your needs. I Make my own when I want something special. Check out the bundera front bar or the race car. Both my own designs. The Race car is a modified ARB unit.

very seldom I see petrol powered vehicles off roading! If Toyota has such dangerous handbrakes- how did they pass the ADR? How is it they are not sued for damages I wonder especially the premium they charge for their vehicles.

Love my petrols offroad. They do work for a while but don’t stay adjusted well when off-roading.
