Off Roading a RENTAL JEEP at Windrock Park!

We go hit the trails at Windrock Park in Tennessee with a group of Jeep Wranglers (and other 4x4 vehicles)! What makes this off road adventure a little more fun than usual, though? My mom is in town...and she rented a stock Jeep (notably NOT a Rubicon) to get around town during her visit.
Did she expect us to take it with us on the trails? Probably not. Did she expect Chris to be driving it? Definitely not. Did any of us expect Chris to have such a fondness for mud? Absolutely not!

The wife lady and I had an amazing time hanging out with you guys. I learned a lot and feel much more confident out on the trail. So glad that we hit trail 11 as it was a confidence booster for us. Thanks for the great spotting, entertainment and the new dent in my rear bumper. I am not much of a talker but tell Chris that I am very glad that he came along. Dude cracks me up and I am glad that I was able to spend the day with 1/2 of Lite Brite Garage. I will definitely be hip on doing another E3 Offroad takeover. I'm Thinking SMORR would be awesome. I wish I could share a picture on these comments. My custom Visa card is of a picture of my TJ, parked exactly where your Jeep is, facing the setting sun. Every time I buy something, I am reminded of the great time we had at Windrock so many years ago. Rental at Windrock, be sure to tell us how the return went. PLEASE!

I’ve learned over the years that the group I go wheeling with that if they say “I brought my Corolla up here” or “I’ve seen stock rav4s on this trail” that generally means that trail is hard and there’s no chance they ever drove a car or rav4 up that trail 😂 it’s what they say to convince you that it’s “not that bad”

Amazing how much a stock jeep can do even without the sway bars disconnected and locker. But I believe the Sahara does have limited slip. But a fun video to watch.

you dont really need the limited slip with the current traction control. it can brake individual wheels giving the same effect as a lsd but instead of being in the axle it uses the brakes

Yep , thats right. 73,000 ACRES.. We were there on the 28th and 29th wheeling the new 1 ton swap on the JK. The kids were a lil Spooked at the top of Walden's Ridge. Wife had her head between her legs, LOL!

We took my 2dr Wrangler sport (Rubicon shocks and springs) and my wife's Renegade sport (2" lift 1" spacers with Toyo Open Country A/T 235/70R16 tires) to Windrock in June and had zero issues. We went to Nemo Tunnel while we were there as well. Only 40 minutes from the campground at Windrock. I like Uwharrie in NC better. Much cheaper. $6 day pass for the Jeep and everyone in it. Windrock was $30 per person.
