In Hawaii they always tell "racist" jokes, but it's not really about demeaning anyone. It's just finding the humor in some of the things different groups do. Like, have you ever seen Jo Koy's bit about Filipino Tupperware? Stuff is true! My mom, aunties, and grandmas used to (and still do) use all kinds of containers (Cool Whip, butter tubs, cookie tins) to hold leftovers or knick knacks. But yeah, jokes like that happen here all the time. Not to make anyone feel bad. Hawaii is multicultural and they all learned to get along on plantations, so everyone adapted and befriended everyone. Still, the other stuff these guys were saying is also true. My mom didn't want me to marry a Japanese guy, and all the guys I liked growing up were Japanese. 🤣

Ryan is right. But it's mostly people from Luzon (Tagalog speakers) always talking shit about people from Mindanao (Bisaya/cebuano speakers). They assume that because it's the southern region we're all some primitive village people who doesn't have electricity. When in reality our region has the most rich people. 😂
@jfrd-pw4hk
@jfrd-pw4hk Жыл бұрын
> When in reality our region has the most rich people. 😂 This has no proof and this is not likely the case. But assuming this is true and no cap, I'm not sure how this is something to be proud of. The truth is Visayas and Mindanao are still behind when it comes to development and rich people there getting richer doesn't mean life's getting better for the rest of Visayans and Mindanaoans. There's a reason Visayans and Mindanaoans kept on migrating to Luzon over the last century. And it's not the poorer Visayans and Mindanaoans' fault. The old Visayan/Mindanaoan elite are old-world landowning warlords who won't hesitate to kill poor people to keep their wealth. These people have no reason to develop their lands into modern urban and suburban areas because they're better off staying wealthy through their plantations. Moving to Luzon was just the wiser choice for survival for the poorer people over there. If Visayas and Mindanao was indeed economically better than Luzon, Tagalogs would've long migrated south. But we all know that's not the case.

Its ironic because the most common international marriage in Japan by far is between a Japanese man and Chinese women. And they tend to have the most successful marriage with the fewest divorce rate compared to other international marriages. I feel like its because they have a negative connotation from the beginning, they work those things earlier on while dating and know how to deal with it after marriage.

As a Japanese-Korean living in Toronto (grew up in Jewish neighborhoods, like Drake), I was fortunate enough to not deal with racist kids. My bro, on the other hand; he enrolled himself in Korean language classes and therefore, was bullied by fellow students around early 2000's. Koreans are brought up by their parents, grandparents, and even educators who still hold a bitter-grudge against WW2 history. Logically speaking, it was out of our control and 40 years before our time. Bro reported the classroom issue to my attention, which got my blood boiling. By that point, he and I already earned our shodan (1st degree) black belts in Karate. A week later, he told me he took care of those students that called his blood "Jap poison."

So this one time i saw a video of watanabe playing his ass off in a NBA game and everyone in the comment section was making anime jokes (nothing wrong with that btw). There was one person who reacted to all that with this; "Is anime all yall can think about when it comes to a succesfull japanese person?" And this are the two top responses with the most likes; 1. Yes we view them as weak and short with no backbone. 2. I just don't see japanese people as athletically gifted or them having bright and confident personalities.. so its always a suprise when i see good japanese player. Same goes for the rest of asia. Usually i dont respond ignorance like that.. but the amount of likes these comments got bothered me for some reason.. so i replied with a list of great things that the japanese are known for and i also gave them a list of great asian athletes.. only to find out that MY comment got deleated two days later

I used to have arguments because I said Asians actually from Asia are big on stealing amenities. My mom is Korean and constantly smuggling handfuls of napkins, straws, and fast food condiments. She has literally asked me to be lookout while she sneaks buffet cookies into a Zip lock bag in her purse. This was premeditated. There's a park in China that installed facial recognition on the toilet paper dispensers in the bathroom because neighboring residents would walk in across the street to grab a whole bunch. I've also seen blogs of similar experiences.

@@Bav_ar The Japanese annex Korea, at the same time the Americans annex the Philippines. Meaning they suffered occupation from the Japanese for 3-4 decades already. While the Chinese was occupied only from the beginning of the 1930s to 1945. Both suffered, but Koreans had it longer than the Chinese. At least the Chinese had fought back. Korea wasn't even given a chance. After the Japanese, occupation again. From uncle harry and uncle joe

@@jack_marcus_reed he was a gypsy from slovakia actually so he was foreign, and then he left and moved to Ireland. Not sure where he is now but i still have his fb. We honestly had the Caribbeans as our closets “back door” neighbors for whenever they changed the yen we had too make botched logic guessing games and then the tale of “la llorona came into play as too write a potential male-intel coming in too fast on what was guesstimated to the 1800s” I had one crazy “loco” trickster wild card of a brother who probably owed way more blood in my debt because I remember him saying he was getting back gammon debt because he was my older brother so, I honestly assumed he trying to cheat us all out of the old deed

This is nothing, you should hear how hispanics talk about each other depending on which spanish speaking country people are from. In their defense Argentines definitely think that God has favored them in everything, especially in football skills. Lol, come at me Argentines. 🤣

Japanese people: my dad had used the terms "Buddha head" or "katonk." Chinese people: the Chinee folk are Pake (Pah Kay) aka "Cheap." My mom had used the word "Oriental": just like a Persian rug or the Orient Express. Filipino people = the most common professions: nurses, Catholic priests/clergy or karaoke singers. Old Americans think that all Asians are Chinese... Koreans love Money ?!?!Hot Import Nights, Massage Parlors, "ancient" Chinese secret, fortune cookies and (Korean or Viet) Hostess Bars. Jungle Asian argument was funny between the Cambodian/Khmer vs. the Vietnamese.

It's cocaine hcl. It's used in ENT clinics as an analgesic sometimes for rhinoplasties. It's actually not illegal. It's a schedule 2 not a 1. It's way more pure than street coke and way cleaner. Ask me about the other drugs I'll tell you and you will be surprised as to how many things are technically legal and available. Meth is used medically sometimes too friend .
