Today on Jon's Moto Garage I do a walk around and mini review of the 2013 Honda Goldwing F6B Deluxe. We also hit 0-60 mph, review how much I paid for the bike, and discuss some of my dislikes. But all things considered, I absolutely LOVE these bikes! Hope you find this useful. Enjoy!

I rode mine from South Carolina to the Arctic Circle north of Fairbanks in 2017. Added a large Givi trunk and. Some flip put hiway pegs to the cam covers…had Traxxion Dynamics fix the front end with billet triple clamps and correct springs/valuing and added a Penske shock out back…great platform with plenty of farkles available.

Great review, Jon. Have a question: in a sadlle bag is there enough space for a full face helmet? Thinking about the same model and same year. I need two spaces for helmets. Thank you.

Thanks! This bike seems to transcend all categories. Lol. I even get compliments from some "Harley Dudes" on the looks. To me it's all about being open to trying out the options. You never know what you'll discover. I was always under the impression that these were slow and heavy before riding one for the first time. Boy was I mistaken! Just bought a low mileage 2013.The stock windshie!d is useless. The front forks are awful. So its in the shop for an upgrade.... progressive springs and tapered bearings and a taller windshield from Gus in Florida. My other bike is zx14R and compares favourably... and the wing sits on the road at 100 mph with me sitting upright. It eats the miles. The motor has poor sound feedback with stock pipes but upside is it is not tiring to ride a long way at high speed.

@@igor4375 I'm cutting back since we have a limit here in AZ without having a license. But you could easily swing 6+ if there weren't restrictions. I'm in the process of finding a location so I can get my license... but it's more of a hobby for time being.

I think you're dead on with the windscreen. Too small / short which forces the wind right into your face. Based on your photo, looks like the new model has the same rising screen as a ST1300, but I haven't checked. Either way, you have a great bike.

Thanks brother! Yeah, I haven't checked out the new ones in person either. Also, I've never ridden the sport touring bikes (fjr1300, st1300, vstroms, etc), so the combination of speed and comfort was a huge surprise when I first rode the goldwing. I can imagine to riders who are used to sport touring bikes, the f6b may still seem a bit cumbersome. But I dig it nonetheless!

I currently have a 2017 Grom and 2016 FZ09. Both are fantastic bikes which you already know. However, I've had a number of bikes over the years to include an XL250R, KTM 520 EXC Supermoto, CB 919, a full blown custom chopper (when they were in vogue), GS550E, ZX7R, FZR600R, and the list goes on... I was broke as a kid and told myself that when I'm an adult I'll buy all the toys I want. Keep doing what you're doing. I wish you the best of luck with your channel and will continue to watch.

@@brettbenson4516 Heck yeah! I remember when the choppers were envogue. Lol. Yeah, sounds like you've had some fun rides! I plan to get another fz09 in the future, but the grom and drz are much safer/more manageable options for me as a novice wheelie wannabe. Ha! I appreciate the support and encouragement and can relate with realizing childhood dreams. While very fortunate to have a good family dynamic, there wasn't room in the budget for these kinds of toys growing up either.

Tried replacing headstock bearings. New fork oil. Different springs. $1000 later and feel every tiny i perfection as if hitting potholes. The screen makes the bike unrideable. Ordered Replacement sent August 27 2020 and now Sept 13 2020 not received in mail Florida to West Australia. So no wonder this bikehad a 16000 kms on it after 7 years....they are a pos.

The F6b front suspension is useless. It is costing me thousands trying to sort a problem Hnda created by poor engineering. Still trying to fix the pos. Hate the bike .
