I forage mushrooms and many medicinal plants to make tinctures, tea blends and such. AND just to encourage anyone who doesn’t live in the country… I live in an apartment! @littledabwilldoya97172 жыл бұрын
@@marthachisnell3346 you can grow ginger in containers or in the soil. When buying ginger to grow (most any grocery store will have it in the fresh veggie section, by the herbs),look for rhizomes (roots) that have ‘eyes’ - places where you can see the root is going to put out a bud. Each of those should produce a stalk/plant, when you plant these 1 -2” above the bottom of an oval or shallow, large bowl, with 3” or so of soil or potting mix on top of it. The more eyes or buds on the ginger you buy to plant, the more plants you’ll have.😀 I suggest doing an internet search for ‘how to grow ginger’, because the size and shape of the root(s) you buy, and how you put them in the planter, will determine if you get basically one central, tall plant, or many along the original root. Good luck!👍🙏

I absolutely love it and it's more affordable as well....so thank you for confirming that I'm doing the best for my health. Also turmeric for ant-inflamatory (it's super powerful for that), cayenne pepper (hotter the better, but taken in capsule form) for the cardio-vasular system, apple cider vinegar to balance the body's acidity, help reduce inflamation, and promote good gut health, and lemmon juice for a myriad of benefits.

Albert Head- you are sooo right about the turmeric! I know because when I had heavy metal poisoning my nutritionist had me on turmeric gel caps for the inflammation I had. Boy did that stuff work!!! Its a great one for inflammation folks.

In speaking of teas, I discovered how to make tea from corriander seed, and also from cumin seed. It's so easy to make and great for your digestion. I loved learning about ginger! I will begin to add ginger to the tea! Thank you for sharing so much wonderful information. Cecilia from Albuquerque. NM

I eat homemade yogurt with berries every morning. Half gallon of grass fed milk is less than $5, and it yields half gallon of fresh yogurt easily made in a crock pot. Love your videos!

@@cheylou1 I live in New Jersey. I purchase Organic Valley organic grass fed whole milk at the grocery store for $4.79 for a half gallon.
@sunflowersusan27272 жыл бұрын
@@dimitrialiberty2779 recipe for yogurt: pour one half gallon of organic grass fed milk such as Organic Valley brand into a crock pot. Cover and turn on lowest heat setting. Set a timer for 2 hours and 45 minutes. When timer rings, turn off the crock pot and reset the timer for 3 hours. Keep cover on . After 3 hours, remove cover and add half a cup of plain organic yogurt, but first put the yogurt in a bowl and add some of the heated milk to the bowl and stir before adding it to the crockpot. This will temper the yogurt so that it is not too cold to shock the warm milk. Stir all the tempered yogurt into the crockpot milk and cover again. Wrap the crockpot with 2 large towels to insulate it and leave it in warm place overnight. In the morning, you will have a half gallon of fresh yogurt to put into containers in the refrigerator. This makes a creamy yogurt that is not thick like store bought, but is free of gelatins or thickeners and high in probiotics. Enjoy!

Stacey & Doug, you’re both an inspiration to all of us who are more mindful in knowing that we ate remembering what we grew up on in eating; good healthy food directly from the ground; our own backyard gardens, local farmer supplies & small neighborhood markets. You’re both an inspiration in this. And citing to newcomers to let food be thy medicine & medicine be thy food; “Hippocrates” is the most advantageous reminder in all. Thank you!🌺

Hey Stacy, I love all these as great health staples too, and I'll be hitting 60 in August, yet am as healthy as I was as a young adult in my 20s! Three yrs ago, I overcame metabolic syndrome, inflammation, gut issues and overweight with healthy keto and intermittent fasting.

Ok Dr Stacy, we love you even more now and we already practice 6 out of your 7 but you and Doug are the absolute inspirationists. Home made "Golden Milk" (no dairy) is another proven super concoction from Northern India that completely cured us of severe arthritis and put us back on the ski hills and ice rinks at 73.

I just started watching Dr Gundry on KZbin, because of my autoimmune disease. Everything I have learned from watching you for years , is all the same things he talks about on his podcast, with all the science behind it. You are truly a treasure, this is what keeps me watching your channel. Because of you I grow my own produce and my own elderberries, and try to make my own clean products like tooth powder and lotion . I just want you to know how much this content you put out means to me thank you.

Thank you Staci for being so "healthy and wholesome". Do you realize how much the social indoctrination training has so called ''healthy'' content producers leaving out the simple fact of organic and real ''wholesomely raised" foods? It took several years but my ginger is finally producing large rich ginger.

A fermenting cookbook??!!! Exciting!!! This is a great list of goodness! I have started trying to consume ferments everyday and I have noticed some changes in my skin and digestive system. I've been drinking chamomile tea with raw honey every night to help with my allergies for a year or two now. My biggest thing that I stress to my family is drinking water! I really feel that staying hydrated is a major key to good health!
