I guessed the biggest embassy was in London but I was just thinking of the main building. I still think the Ambassadorship to the UK is the most prestigious.

@@BTinSF The new embassy in London is not grand, but rather like a mid-rise, high tech office building along the Thames. I agree that the UK ambassador post is the most sought after political appointment - it would be, given the relationship between the two countries. The American embassy in Paris is a very close second because it’s the oldest American diplomatic mission. It’s on prime real estate, too, at the Place de la Concorde.

I've been to two US embassies while I was teaching English abroad. I got tax advice from an IRS agent in Tokyo and renewed my passport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Both places - especially Saudi - had very tight security. But both embassies could fit into one corner of the Baghdad compound.

@@jerseydevs2000 The American embassy moved from Jeddah to Riyadh in the mid-1980s, along with others countries’ diplomatic missions. What remained in Jeddah was a very large consulate compound with 9 hole golf, swimming pools, and housing for Marines and diplomats - very cosmopolitan and large enough to drive around inside the walls. The Riyadh embassy (in the diplomatic quarter) is very different and much smaller.

The narrator is implying that 'Main Street' is a copy of super corporate America..Disney. Main Street in almost every city, town or village existed long before Disney parks. Walt Disney was attempting to copy Main Street of his hometown of Marceline, Missouri. To those in the U.K. what we call 'Main Street' is what you call the 'High Street'.

I would love to know if any country outside the USA has an embassy in a mid west state? not in a major city.. Embassy's are a nice idea, but not when you have to protect it from possible issues

I agree with Daz. I'm 95% sure ALL foreign embassies are located in Washington, D.C. since it's the U.S. Capitol. But those embassies do have consulates in major cities across the country.

Almost like the Republican held congress refused to spend money on fortifying an embassy they already knew had security flaws before the attack. We had a several year investigation on it all.
