XFM shows were legendary. Even looped through the series so many times that I knew each line coming, they were still funny. I think one of the reason I didn't really like the animated show is because I could tell exactly what they cut out from each xfm show/podcast they used. A lot of the time they cut out my favourite parts - probably because they were the most offensive

I"m from Louisiana and a big fan of Karl. He is a comic genius. He is doing a bit, but it's presented so honestly as a genuine perspective that it's hard to tell. If you listen to the podcast closely, he is setting up his jokes. Especially in his diary.

I genuinely believe that Ricky really convinced Karl that they were making a pilot of an English language lesson series. The way Karl looks at the camera and repeats phrases and holds up 10 fingers! Because he knows the stunts that Ricky pulls on him, I’m sure he figured it out it wasn’t real later! When he said “they’re from a smellier place” it was from An Idiot Abroad! Ricky purposely made his trips unpleasant and at first he wast expecting it because one of the first hotels he stayed at, it was so bad that he asked whoever was with him “does Ricky know it’s this bad?” Of course Ricky knew it was that bad, he made sure of it!
