@megaman-exe yea I found that but I do have a question I started playing and the map rendering was messed up I did the optimization and it went through until it gave me the message to close it. I rebooted and there's audio and has character model I can move but the entire background otherwise is a black screen I'm assuming my device is just not compatible but seems strange that I can still move

Yeah this means your device is not compatible. This is a joiplay issue on your device model. There isn't on our end anything to solve this because we didn't develop the game for Android. Joiplay is what allows it to be loaded on Android

I'm trying to play on my Odin 2, but I can't seem to bind any of the gamepad controls. It sees the keys and I bind them based off the default mapping but it doesn't change the button function. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

You should look at the written guide in the description of the video. It contains the keybinds the game uses. It is very different controls from other Pokemon Games, so you might be using the wrong buttons

In settings there is an option to turn off Battle Effects if that helps. I am not aware of other settings outside of this unfortunately

In the written guide from the description, I mention that you can install the app NoMedia from google play store so that it adds a .nomedia file into your game folder. This will make it so images/audio/videos from folders with that file in it will be ignored and not added to your gallery

When you open the App, it will show all the folders you have that has media in it. Select the switch, and it will add the NoMedia file to your folder and your phone should ignore these folders now. It may take some time to apply, but it will work.

Hi man! Amazing video, it helped a ton and I'm able to play the game now. One question though, I tried doing the .infinitefusion filename in JOIplay but it still extracted all the images to my photos gallery so now it's all cluttered with pokemon pics. Is there a way to fix this or make my photos gallery back to how it was? Thanks!

Yes, we found Android isn't supporting the period in the name now. In the doc in the description, I add an app you can download named NoMedia that can hide the sprites from your gallery.

Yeah the only thing you can do is keep trying. This is an issue with your Device and Joiplay, so we can't really do anything about that. Someone said they had to try 32 times for it to finally work for them

You have to try opening the game in JoiPlay for it to appear again. But this option is only there if you get the pop up. If you get no pop up you fine.

What is saying that? You need to make sure you uninstalled Joiplay and RPG Maker before starting. This won't work if you have other versions of the plugins.

If you are using the correct versions of joiplay and rpg maker that we provide, you would need to long tap the game in Joiplay and optimize maps. This is mentioned in the guide in the description

Game runs but it's lagging. Like for example when I'm running in the game, Red gets stuck for sometime then starts moving again after a few seconds

That depends on your device and internet. The game needs stable internet to download pokemon sprites as you play.

Yeah hard to tell if that Retroid Pocket will work, but if it can handle JoiPlay it is possible! Chromebook we have very little information for because no one on the team has a chromebook for installation guides

@@megaman-exe I’ve gotten Joiplay downloaded and able to run another game, I believe it was Pokemon Indigo if I’m remembering right. I didn’t get very far into it as it was just one of the many games I installed when I first got the Retroid, and it definitely required some tinkering, so I’m not exactly sure how well it actually plays. But I was able to run around and explore the first town with no issues aside from some stuttering. My previous issue with Infinite Fusion was when downloading the map, it would crash mid download every time. I think I’m going to try uninstalling and deleting all Joiplay and infinite fusion files and starting from scratch following this guide, and hopefully it will go more smoothly.

yeah for InfiniteFusion you have to use the specific versions of Joiplay and RPG Maker for it to work. The ones from google play store don't work for some reason.

@@megaman-exe so after trying this out, I’ve run into the same issue where optimizing the maps causes Joiplay to crash. I know the doc you’ve linked states that if this happens, the device isn’t compatible, but I’ve seen a couple people on Reddit say that completing that step on an SD card on pc can allow the game to run on an RP3+. Here’s to hoping that works, if you have any other insights I’d appreciate it. Thanks again for the help!

Yeah you download 2 zips and use the rest of the video to extract the files. This game is not an APK to install, you need to do a couple steps

Optional INSTALL NOMEDIA: This will install a .nomedia file into the selected folder so the sprites don’t show up in your phone gallery: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mrck.nomedia&hl=en_US&gl=US Our written guide at the bottom also has ways to solve this, but this is just normal android behavior. if you have photos in a folder, it will be added to your gallery.

The only way to get the update on Android is by redownloading the entire Game zip again and using the new folder. Remember to move your save file to the new folder

In your game folder, there is a shortcut named SaveFiles that will take you to where your saves are stored. It should take you to your APPDATA/InfiniteFusion folder

The guide in the description mentions how to do that. Essentially you can use an app or add a .nomedia file in your game folder yourself. This will make it so that Android ignores this folder for synching images/audio to your phone gallery

You need to create a save file in Pallet Town and create a 2nd new game. The randomizer options will appear on the 2nd new save.

It is the same instructions, the only thing you need to do is move your save file into this new folder. The save file is named File A.rxdata if you saved in Slot A.

This unfortunately means your device is not compatible. You can try optimizing maps in joiplay by long tapping the game and selecting optimize maps. but we don't have a fix for this.

When I start the game I am in the room and I do get the room looking all messed up, when I try going down to the next screen I get the following message: RPG Maker Plugin for JoiPlay Script '004_Game_Map.rb' line 76: NoMethodError occurred. undefined method 'tileset_name' for nil:NilClass I have already tried to optimizing the map option, got back in but still gives me the same error. I already tried uninstalling the Joiplay first then the RPG Maker, then even the game, download them all back using the links and still get the same error. Any idea on how to fix it?

Joiplay comes with cheats by default. Press one of the top right buttons and if gives you a menu with 3 menu options

Nope, this only works on devices that can open windows .exe files or that can open JoiPlay
