Echeverri looks like a very talented kid who is tenacious on the ball.I watched some clips of him yesterday and think he's a great signing.Hopefully he will become part of the first team because he will be great to watch.

Thanks mate. KZbin's algorithm wants everyone to do live videos so I've been doing lots of them. I think life has forced me to mix it up a bit now so it's actually quite refreshing doing some simple pieces to camera! Feels like the older days doesn't it. I'll do a mix I think.

There're lots of differences between Alvarez and Echeverri. Alvarez was always praised by the youth couches, however it was more focused on intangibles like intuition or positioning. You could maybe see some great finishes from time to time, but he was not a done product. But credit to many of the youth/national team couches, they have always considered him and even took him to Copa America 2021, which was some kind of surprise because he wasn't the top player in the Argentine League yet. After that, he improved so much that he became, by far, the best player in the League, scoring staggeting amounts of goals. Echeverri, since he was 11/12 was that BIG talent, that kind of "new Messi" type of hype, which is really stupid to do in my opinion. He's River Plate youth team was also very good, so he's won a lot. He's been the captain of the U-17 team, which in my opinion is full of talents. He has a special talent with the ball and to score goals. Now, he's not yet consider the best player when it comes to adult footy. He's still young and a bit fragile, although he seems to have gotten stronger in the last few months when River Plate couch -Martin Demichelis, former City player- took him to train with the first team. It would be interesting to see what he would do this whole year at River Plate. Talent is definitely there, but he needs to learn how to play more effectively, with pressure/tough environments and also become a more complete player: his defensive game, team high pressure, etc are not at the level yet. He cannot play at a "Messi i don't run" level, because he basically not Messi and he won't make it with Pep.

If he's as good, as how good Alvarez is going too end up as? Then we'll all be so happy and very fortunate. IMO Alvarez is going to end up challenging for ballon d'or. So if CE gets close, another bargain from Argentina? Our favourite country for top class talent.

@@jackboyle887 to be honest with you kimmich is a mix of both he creates a lots of chances he's more like a mix of Toni kroos and Declan rice yeah he's that good and he's passing and vision are world-class and to boot it all of he's playstyle is very identical to that of Gundo
