Pirate sites is why anime / manga is even popular worldwide 💀 to be fair they could be trying to see series popularity outside of their platform or find a way to compete. No way they really need us to tell them where the sites at 😂
@markwatson87144 ай бұрын
Yeah, I'm sure they have as much access to Google as anyone else. In fact I think Chibi might be being a little naïve in that respect; I doubt they'd be too bothered about trying to take them down given it would be a reasonable assumption that you wouldn't be using their app if you were reading the content they had elsewhere (and who cares if you're ripping off the competition?). Given the number of questions they ask about the sites I think they're far more interested in the fact that a site hosting illegal content isn't really in a position to sue if you start helping yourself to things like their UI features ...

Anime and Manga getting pirated OUTSIDE of Japan is largely a service issue because we don't have a Steam like service we can just got to get it. There's MULTIPLE sites and streaming services and then some of those services screw up releasing it, it's no wonder a lot go 'screw it, high seas it is'
@BocchiTheBox4 ай бұрын
Fakku, DLsite, Fantia..... oh wait it's all H-manga KEK Google Play Books, Amazon, and Bookwalker are some pretty prominent ones. Even then though it's still a fraction of what we actually want available, and for English versions many of them never get official English translations. So we have to rely on Fan translations, and even if they get an English release it's still usually far slower than the fan translations. There is a lot of reasons pirating is valid. Even just saying it's really expensive is honestly a good enough reason on its own for these non-paperback online versions being sold as the same price as the paperback ones. Which since its online means you technically don't even really own it. I don't blame anyone for pirating. Provide a better service, and better deals and people will feel less inclined to do so. Simple as that. Google Play Books even has a translation feature, but they still don't sell the Japanese versions of the books for overseas which would really help make good use of that. Especially since there's a lot less trust on translations nowadays people would rather use machine translations even with their issues.

I've said this time and again: Pirate sites wouldn't be a problem if anime and manga were just more accessible. Instead of focusing on cracking down on pirate sites, how about spreading your franchise properties around so more people can have access to it. Where I'm from there's this youtube channel you can subscribe membership for which actually lets you watch some popular anime legally (I think it's region locked so it's still difficult to access). But if you make it easier for anime fans to get access to your content, there would be no need to pirate. I'm pretty sure so many fans are more than willing to pay membership for it, but so many streaming sites and channels are region locked so there's really no other way around it. Some of us have to pirate to enjoy the shows we want to watch.

Tbh … I don’t buy digital at all because it can and will eventually be taken away at any moment once a service is discontinued (look at PlayStation movies as a recent example). This is my main issue with all the digital services…. They treat it like a licence of content instead of a buying of the content (a subscription is not buying the content… but outright paying for the digital anything IS). Absolute nonsense. If you buy something … you should OWN the thing you BUY, hence why piracy exists to solve this modern created issue… plus they make it downloadable and usable offline which is a huge draw In of itself . Always remember that Piracy is almost always a service issue … widely available to people looking for certain content … content in which they can’t find normally through legal means. If there is a will there is a way.

Only reason why I pirate manga or anime is purely based on the issue of accessibility. There’s 1 manga I read that doesn’t have any official English translation, so I read the pirated fan translations for free instead. When it comes to anime if an anime isn’t on any of the streaming services I use (aka they took it off Crunchyroll and it’s only on HiDive) then I will watch it elsewhere for free.
@IAMDES004 ай бұрын
I usually sail the seas for manga and anime either because a lot of great anime like haikyuu or blood+ or eureka seven don't have a streaming home over here in the U.S.. and I can never find the right manga volume at the book store

Confuse them by naming sites that were already taken down years ago. Then they'll be wondering how those managed to spring up again all while not being able to find any using those names which are currently active either.

RIP Aniwave (9anime) 🪦🙏🙏
@Haigen64 ай бұрын
I know you are sad! That aniwave is getting shut down due to a user on manga plus who snitched on us, website like zoro and aniwave. This probably won’t stop piracy of anime there over 1000 of anime website there no way of taking all down. My suggestion is that you guys should stop announcing your website that you use to watch anime it could result that website getting taken down. For example kissanime everyone on KZbin kelp on mentioning this website, obviously going to get shut down since so many people know about it.

funny thing is that the question isnt a required field so people can just skip it, which is very ironic

I have never seen a KZbin comment section this united before. Not everyone can afford to redily pay for multiple different streaming services to watch on anime or another. people all around the world are starting to have less and less money, stopping the issue of piracy isn't possible either unless some major revamp came to the internet as a whole. However dont snitch. We all like anime around here.

I think it is always wild when people just assume I would self report on abhorrent crimes like that just because it is "anonymous". Yeah of course. But I would never do something this bad! So of of course I don't know where the seas even are! I am a law abiding cattle of the industry. I mean the other c word cun... almost there customer! Ha, see I know all the lingo!

The vast majority of mangas I want to support are either not available in my country, or do not accept USD. I've been lucky enough to support a few dozen creators, but that's it.
