Yes I would because I have an obsession that must be fed. Jokes aside, I love that more people are getting into Vocaloid now! Don’t worry my best friend since childhood thought i was a huge weeb when I first explained vocaloid and Miku to him but after a while he’s pretty ok with it now. He even likes Butterfly on My Right Shoulder (the correct translation is my according to the YT channel that posted the project diva mv so shush). While I was sad that my friends didn’t like my special interest, i joined forums such as amino (which is now a buggy mess) to connect with other fans across the world. My favourite vocaloid producers are PinocchioP and Nilfruits/Niru Kajitsu. Niru is my favourite since they have a few song trilogies with lore or similar themes plus they collaborate with animators for their MVs, not to mention the catchy music and amazing vflower vocals

Okay, but the thing about going from a few Vocaloid songs to listening to Japanese music in general is so real! My best friend introduced me to Vocaloid three years ago now, and my Vocaloid Spotify playlist three years later is over sixteen hours. And that’s just the songs on Spotify! That’s also without mentioning how my love for Vocaloid went on to expand to other Japanese artists (Like Yoasobi!) and how Vocaloid introduced me to many incredible projects! For example, did you know that other than Vocaloid music, Deco 27* has been working on a side project called Milgram? It’s entirely music focused but also has an incredible story driven by its communities choices! Overall, Vocaloid is the gateway into some pretty amazing things.
