The thing is that the SAT is full of basic Algebra 1 & 2 problems, but the only issue many people really struggle with is how the SAT plays with it's words which makes the problem look harder than it actually is (This video definitely helped notice that).

For number 38, you can just multiply 5 (the given mean score of group A) time 9 for group A to get 45 and for group B multiply 7 (given mean score for group B) times 11 to get 122. Then divide 122 by 20 to get 6.1, round to the nearest integer to get 6.

if i have for example 10 questions left in reading what do you recommend me to do put them all one letter like C or try to choose different letters for every question ?
@ScalarLearning
@ScalarLearning 5 жыл бұрын
I would probably do that as there is roughly an even distribution of letters. That being said, statistically they are all independent events, so it shouldn't matter. But if you feel like you did really well on the rest of the test, I would choose the letter that is most underrepresented in your answers. Does that make sense?

@ScalarLearning
@ScalarLearning 5 жыл бұрын
The problem is if you use 1 2 3 4 you need a stable median, like 2.5. Or just some median in the middle. Then you would subtract 7 from 1 and 2 and add 7 to 3 and 4. Then you will realize that the median, mean, and sum will not change.

Number 18 in the calc . Section. Sir why didn't I divide the total of each age by 1600 ? When do I know that I'm not dividing by the total number of the data , instead by a part of it as in 18?
@ScalarLearning
@ScalarLearning 5 жыл бұрын
Because the language in the question limits the total. When they say "percentage of 18-50" immediately the total value is limited to 18 to 50 year olds.
