I've been sitting on the fence about the Pro since the announcement, mainly because of the price. I've got the money ready to go, but I just wasn't feeling it after the reveal, this thing needed to be something very, very, VERY special for me to pre-order or get day one at that price. I wanted to wait and see the reviews and the first game upgrades etc. Now, after seeing all that, the DF game analysis, the hardware reviews etc, my £700 is staying in the bank. I sit around 8 feet from a 55" TV when I'm gaming. I'm not seeing a difference in Ellie's backpack from 8 feet away. The only thing that I'm concerned about is being able to play at a reasonably "locked" 60FPS, give or take. Most games already have a performance mode at 60FPS, even if it's at 1080p or whatever. At 8 feet away, running for my life from a clicker or a Thunderjaw, I'm not looking at the resolution and admiring the stitching on a jacket or whatever, LOL For me, if a £700 console doesn't blow me away, it means we're definitely at the point of diminishing returns in graphical fidelity versus frame rate. Don't get me wrong, I'll be day one on PS6. PSSR and all the other new knobs and whistles in the new gen will be the game changers by then, I think, but for now I reckon I'll keep my 700 for that... Unless you have a high end TV or monitor theres very little reason to get a pro...ill stick to the base ps5 on my 7 year old TV haha

​@818MEX it applies more to the pro. The base ps5 still gets way faster loading, exclusives, better audio, better controller, more 60 fps games compared to ps4.

False, you don't need a high end tv or monitor to see or feel a difference. It could help more but is not needed.

For me personally, I wanted something that just bro if it fidelity mode on ps5 to 60fps which is what it is advertised as. The only reason I’d be mad about the PS5 would be if it didn’t deliver that consistently. I’m happy to pay to avoid the compromise. And sell my PC. I’m good without crazy frame rates and further supporting wildly greedy nvidia.

@XSi1entSpartanX bad idea. Tech moves fast. If the ps5 did this then the pro wouldn't be as good as the one that's out today since pssr didn't exist and if it somehow was comparable in power it would have been at least 1000 bucks in 2020

Cloub gaming is how u get the mass. MS is pursuing cloub heavy this November where u can play your own games on the cloub. So u just have to worry about buying the content and play Paying $800 or more will be for the elite gamers that want the best
