Scatole trivia: -Skatole was considered as a cosmetic hat for Team Fortress 2, alongside tears, Brimstone, and Tiny Planet. It was dropped as Valve "... didn't want players running around with a wet piece of poop on their heads." -According to Edmund McMillen's First post-Repentance Lore Stream, Skatole's visual was designed first, with McMillen then working backwards to create an appropriate effect to justify an item that puts a poop on Isaac's head.

Unofficial TBOI Trinket guide. No. 002 Petrified Poop "It feels lucky?" This trinket is unique as all poops in the game have a 0.5% chance to drop the Petrified Poop. Affect: Poops now have a 50% chance to drop a pickup. Does not work for poops that don’t drop pickups. One of the best trinkets. You’ll be swimming in coins and hearts if you got a ton of poops laying around. As the game goes on, later levels will have less poops to find, thus making this trinket less useful. If you don’t have something that can reliably create poops in the late game, you’re safe to get arid of this trinket for something else.

There's a wiki page for that, but essentially it lets you throw your head (it deals contact dmg and then fires tears from that spot) and then using the item again recalls your head back to you. It's not the easiest item to get use out of but I'm sure you could make it work
