I live in N Phoenix, at the base of a mountain, in a 722 square foot 1/1 & pay $683 a month. When I moved in back in 2007 I was paying $407 a month. Every time I watch one of these videos I appreciate my apartment even more.

I can make that work, I have lived worse places than that over 45 years of my life. Most people who live those types of places have the moderate skills to fix that up and make your place. I will negotiate the deposit for repairs or 1/2 rent for a couple of months for the labor and/or for supplies. The owners have hard times too so I wouldn't rush to judgement but if you want perfect your looking in another type of community. I am glad you show all forms of rentals and sales because someone might see this and say that's the spot for me you just never know and your channel is all about for reals for real, keep doing you.

Thank you for shedding some light on the housing situation. I've been living in an rv for almost 5 years in Arizona. The 3 bedroom 3 bathroom custom built 1600 sqft on 3 acre house i was renting for 900/mo got tore up in hurricane laura. The metal roof got ripped off and set in the pasture next door. Tried renting afterwards, nothing comparable, not even close, for less than 1200. I'm pretty content where I'm at now, it's safe and i have some great new friends, but it was devastating. This rv was in the same hurricane. I'm a female but handy with some tools, and luckily i don't know what give up and quit means. I live by adapt and overcome. I'm also an army vet, lol and I typed that as you were talking about the draft. Glad I ain't gotta worry about that, being already deemed 100% permanent and total "disabled" by the military. Anyway thanks, you seem like a solid dude, this my first time running across a video of yours. ❤

I'm in the process of moving to the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. I'm homeless with no vehicle. My friend who lives in that area has an e-bike and has slowly gotten on his feet he has a job. As in Texas rent high for one person. Hopefully when I get there our combined salaries will make life a little easier for the both of us

The bathroom is missing wood planks on the floor, there's roaches in the cabinets and the reason that counter is discolored because the SLUMLORD only put some pressed plywood over it.

I would love that bike, I would have given you money for it. I am 63 and I have to walk everywhere. I do like walking for exercise, but trying to carry my groceries home makes it tough. I currently live in Seattle, WA where a standard studio apartment is about $2,000. Ten years ago I lived in Phoenix where my housing options were a studio for about $360-$440 or share a 4 bedroom house where the rent was $1,200 for the whole house.

My neighbor John could use a bike like that hes a older man who's on social security who lives in a travel trailer after rent probably left with 75-100 dollars. not to far away from where you started your video off he does own a bicycle but something like this would be way easier for him. He's always back and forth from the doctors office and food banks.

That $950 apartment could be for a worker who just needs a place to lay their head at night. Construction, some sort of project work and then they can move on to something else. If they don’t mind a roommate then $475 per person is not bad. Personally, I’d never live there. It’s making my skin itch just looking at it. 😅
