I was so into the episodes that I actually didn't even try to guess who the Hyde was, or who was actually Laurel Gates. But that was probably because I binge-watched them, and didn't really give myself time to think things through.

I figured out who the Hyde was early, wavered in the middle then got it right in the end. But I didn't get the big reveal.

For just a moment when Wednesday warned Fester about what she'd do,thought she'd say the Mission: Impossible " the secretary will..." speech.

Your theories made these reaction videos so fun! I still feel a bit stupid for never once suspecting Tyler, but I knew the whole time Xavier was a red herring. Even though I liked Tyler, I still love the direction everything went, because I'm obsessed with Wednesday's emotional arc in this, and even Tyler's betrayal (whatever that'll truly look like moving forward) fits Wednesday. I know it's kind of awkward that I'm reacting so late, but your reaction videos on Wednesday are some of my favorites!

I've long learned to suspect everyone who gets hurt by a killer, on or offscreen, but doesn't die - or does who apparently die, but not convincingly enough for me. I blame Scream and Umineko no naku koro ni, and it's true for many many many different stories @_@

It seemed one sided to me. Xavier wasn't really a love triangle since Wednesday wasn't ever interested in him. She used him and was friendly but all the feeling were mostly from him than towards him.

If you remember, that Xavier was obsessed with painting and drawing the monster, and then he told the Dr. that he saw her death. He is like Wednesday, he gets visions of the future too.

I think Tyler, like every other character in this series (Wednesday lies, dissembles, tortures, is very insensitive, and is a hero), is complex. I think Tyler was being manipulated alot. So much is not discussed about Hyde's, their motivations, and their behavior (and how much control each form has over the other) and the Masters control over them it can lead to a lot of speculation. I think Tyler was being as honest as he could be and much of what he said what true, he regretted bullying Xavier (I saw his actions as similar to those who attack LGBTQIA folks who themselves realize (and try to reject) they are part of that community (self-hate)-but Tyler did not realize he was a Hyde at the time), he really liked Wednesday, he wanted to be a different person and not hate and bully, and wanted to leave his small town. I do think he was being controlled at times, in fact I wonder if he was being controlled at the end by Thornhill to break out and eventually help break her out. I appreciated your reactions, thank you for watching and commenting this.

Great reactions to this series. I don't understand the part about wanting to be able to figure out who the killer is in the first episode of a murder mystery then being upset if you are wrong. You want the show to be good enough to fool you and this was excellent at that. Not sure the cult would have any reason to stalk Wednesday yet. If it's anybody it might be Dalton, who was bullying Pugsley and whom she permanently maimed at her old school but it probably will be another surprise.

Wednesday hugged Enid. Proof that Enday/Wednid is endgame!
@Metzwerg743 ай бұрын
indeed... thank you for pointing that out... wednesday not only just lets herself be hugged, she pushes enid away, looking her all over and seeing waht enid has beenthrough, wdnesday hugs enid and holds her tight... and concerning this coming from wednesday, it´s so much stronger in meaning....

@Metzwerg74 Yes, Wednesday seems to have Avoidant Attachment Style. And so, her choosing to embrace someone is a much bigger deal than the act itself would normally imply.

@8:49 "I figure after what happened last time, you owe be." Wednesday must go on the date with him because she sees relationships as transactional, therefor, since she owes him, she must complete her end of the transaction. Recognizing that and using it against her is a sign of how perceptive Tyler is.

I think Wednesday really had feelings for Tyler before she found out the truth. I realized this by looking at the details of the character. She distrusted almost everyone on the show but him. She never denied any of his actions, or coyly accepted or made excuses, meaning she went against her strong personality when it came to him. And most importantly, for Wednesday Addams to go to a boy's service at night JUST to kiss him is a lot in my opinion. I don't doubt that they will be lovers' enemies in season two, when it comes to the Addams universe and Tim Burton nothing is impossible.

I feel like if they go full evil for Tyler, it would break a lot of consistency in the show, and I really wouldn't like that. He seemed completely genuine most of the time, a bit too genuine to realistically claim that he was actually just being manipulative imo. From the moment we met him, I suspected they would make him be the monster, but every step of the way I didn't really like that idea, simply because of how genuine and a good guy he was (and I was a bit invested in his relationship with Wednesday). But I really do think that Laurel could have just been brainwashing him as the Hyde. I think the most logical explanation would be that it's almost like a split personality, and he doesn't remember and isn't aware of all the things his Hyde self does while under his master's influence, and at all other times he's just himself. I will say that I disagree about him being nice making him suspicious, though. I mean, in terms of story writing, I get it. Because it's a predictable plot element to make the really nice person secretly a monster. But in terms of personality, plenty of people are just nice, and Tyler definitely wasn't an unrealistic level of nice. I mean, I'd even probably act pretty similarly to him if I was in his shoes most of the time. Even in cases where maybe he could have or should have spoken out against Wednesday, it's perfectly plausible that he would still just be nice to her. I've definitely always had an inclination to kind of just take it when people are unkind to me, especially if I like them, so I relate to that a lot. And it's not even like he completely just took everything without any push back against Wednesday. He did sort of confront her (in episode 4?), when he felt there were mixed signals.

If Morticia, Gomez, Pugsley and uncle Fester do show up in season 2 episodes, they may only appear sparsely. Catherine Zeta Jones and Luiz Guzman are more known for movie roles, so don't expect to see them too often on the small screen.

I loved the season. But 1 thing that EVERYONE needs to remember. Seers, or Psychics, their visions are not always true. Rowen's mother, her vision was wrong. Wednesday saved the school. Not ruined it. And Xavior's (sp?) father, he was a professional seer. And he said the visions are not always true. But Wednesday was right a lot. So, they were good. Some website have said that Tyler has escaped. I say they were guessing. Knowing that would mean it was on film. And it wasn't. They may be correct, but they are NOT, definitely correct. And yes. I am a realist. I do not assume. BUT, I'm lookingn forward to season 2. Great Posts.

Sometimes what we think is too obvious ends up being real... Remember on the first episode when Thornhill shows up for the first time with mud in her boots right after the first murder... It was too obvious to think she had to do something with the murder...

"No one can be this boring this consistently.' 😂 Your best line to date. Subsequently I didn't understand why you kept trying to exonerate Tyler when you'd already spoken the answer: he's unrealistically nice and bland because it's a persona. Wednesday's investigation technique is flawed: she succumbs to her own biases, follows her theory to the exclusion of others.
@mikeymike18432 жыл бұрын
Two things I've been thinking about. First is how Wednesday prioritises her relationships. If you look at the circles of the archery target, Wednesday is the bullseye. Where her first instinct is to protect herself. You see this at the beginning with her animosity towards Morticias percieved threat. The next circle are her family. Next are friends, Enid and Eugene maybe Xavier. Then in the next aquantances, like the Nevermore students. The second is what ( if any ) powers did Goody give Wednesday when she passed through her. Goody being a powerful witch and all.

There was no chemistry at all between Wednesday and Tyler or Wednesday and Xavier so I would hope they don't continue those arcs, but I am afraid they will.

Wednesday is the one who planted the evidence on Xavier, she personally collected all the evidence from her earlier investigations and planted them and worked with the sheriff to arrive just in time holding the knife she just handed him.

I am not sure if Laurel Gates is really dead because we didnt see it. We only saw that Wednesday kicked her with her boot, no dead body. And especially in a series like this I only believe that a person is dead when I see them dead, like in the first episode with Rowan. If she is still alive then the hole Tyler thing could change in many ways. P.S. I am on Team Tyler or Enid, please not Xavier :D

I really didn't rate the show for the first few episodes. The writing was a little clunky and the mystery kind of trite but I think they took a fairly dull premise and made it really good. They also did well with set up and pay off in terms of each person's abilities. You find out what they can do early on, in some cases you get a glimpse like the sword fighting with Wednesday and Bianca, or archery with Xavier, and then it becomes an important part of how they beat the villain. It works well.
