I was fortunate enough to actually meet the band at a clup after winning a radio contest. This was long before meet and greets were a thing. I was thrilled they signed a Budokan photo for me. I was able to get some photos with the band. One of my bucket list items I never thought I could do.

Rick is such a character and we love Cheap Trick!!! I have the Dream Police album cover that all four guys signed the inner fold where they are in the police line-up! I framed it, with one of Rick's guitar picks that he threw to me during a show and my ticket to that same show, and put it it on my wall! Best rock show ever!!! Love these guys!!!

So love me some Cheap Trick Rick…awesome songwriter, on fire guitarist, and hottest nerd ever 🔥😏😜 Met him for the first time after years of being a fan right outside my hotel as he was getting on the bus to head to the concert venue 1 block from our hotel…he only had a brief moment for a smily smirk hey, I’ll see you there…then during the concert found me…I was 4 rows back center stage…gave me a point, then both hands pointed to me about 5 more times and throughout the show brought over Uncle Dick, the Beatles guitar, the Gonna Raise Hell guitar and many more to see up close and personal…just a complete class act, family man, down to earth guy with the best sarcasm, wit, and coolest Rock n Roller in the business🙌🏁😘

love this..so nostalgic ..actually i was too young at the time to even be aware of Cheap Trick .(was only nine going on ten in 80) but have since made up for that..these guys are are easily in my personal favorite top ten bands...also this clip has quite the "Anchorman" vibe to it lol

I grew up in a Cleveland suburb and I remember seeing this on its original airing. I was at the show the next night too. It was my second rock show ever, Cheap Trick a year earlier also at Richfield Coliseum was my first. It's funny to see again how much Rick was hitting on Wilma, (who does look a little like his wife).

hey yeah, 1980. probably one of the worst Cheap Trick album / cds out there.''all shook up''. tracks like ''i love you honey, but i hate your friends' ' ''who d king'', high priest of rhythm ic noise''.those werent songs,that was noise basically.
