I guessed 32 too. Doubt it’s anything to do with the fingers, more verbal suggestion, he repeated “there” multiple times which is similar to the first digit 3, then repeated “ ‘2’ digit number” multiple times after.

I'm not convinced it is the Monty Hall problem, I think Derren might have got this wrong? The usual Monty Hall problem says that one of the two boxes without the ring in it is removed, but it won't be the box you are holding that is removed. Which logically makes it more likely that your box has no ring in it than the other because your box was exempt from that elimination whereas the remaining box wasnt exempt, making it more likely to have the ring. But that's not quite the situation in this example. Anyone else sad enough to care that can tell me if Derren was right? 😂
