Well I would say it's a sign of respect and speaks well of Tom. Simon is a British subject native to the UK and as such has more room to play around. The Shakespeare Tom Hanks mentioned being in was the comedy 'The Taming of the Shrew.' He turned up with his wife and son to a performance of the same play I directed and was playing the lead in. Throughout I could hear his distinctive laugh and at the end they came and thanked me and he really was just as nice as he seems. It was surreal to have Tom Hanks telling me how great he thought the show was and thanked me as it was his son's first Shakespeare and he's loved it. I'll never forget it.

When I first saw Tom's earliest shows, I swear, he was the loudest guy on tv. My old mum didn't like him at all and would say " why does he have to shout everything ? " I think if she was alive today she would finally get it. Live long , Tom, and prosper.
