I am here to explain "the sausage in the father-in-law" situation. The menu is Russian, and this lovely item is "Pigs in a Blanket". Now, follow closely: "(wrapped) in pastry" and "in the father-in-law", (in Russian "v teste") are homographs. Someone decided to use Google Translate without double-checking with an English-speaking human. So yeah. You are welcome.

The first picture with the red (probably russian) and blue text is quite funny when you understand some russian. The meaning of the text in russian is ”sausage with dough” or something along those lines. Where the translation has gone wrong is the word тесте (dough) what has happened is there has been a mistake where тесть ( meaning father in law) has accidentally made it in there instead. Which is the cause of the minor mistake. 😅
