i long ago stopped characterizing WWE as a Wrestling Promotion. they are a television production about pro wrestlers. they're all actors on a t.v. show, portraying wrestlers. like the cast of "Lokli" or "WandaVision", or "The Mandalorian". Like Sasha Banks, aka Mercedez Vernado. some of them are really good at getting you to buy into their character, and their story. some, not so much.

Based on Jim's comments, past & present about Kevin Dunn, I can easily see them tie into why Bronson Rechsteiner was given the juvenile name 'Bron Breakker' (which he & I both detest) instead of the logical, lineage-recognizing 'Rex Steiner'. Should anybody ask Kevin Dunn why the decision was made, his first response would be that nobody knows who the Steiner Brothers are.

I believe Bron said that he came up with the name himself. Apparently, he intends to succeed without usage of the Steiner name, which I personally respect him for.

WWE could have and should have told him 'no' to the moniker. He will inevitably and perpetually be linked to the Steiner name.

It's like I agree that it's commendable that he doesn't want to coast on the Steiner name but even if this was the territory era still, you feel that people would eventually twig that he was a Steiner and that he would have eventually had to have taken on the Steiner name. So in the modern era it seems particularly pointless for an obvious Steiner to not have the Steiner name. Perhaps if his alt name at least had been cool, there might have been some value but Bron Breakker is just silly.
