So happy you included the awesome rants from Portland. I hope I laughed then, but I really laughed now. After the “white-knuckle “ sleet drive, I drank too much wine on an empty stomach. I don’t remember much, but I hope I laughed as much there as I just did. I’m guessing I did, because that’s how you have a crush on a comedian. Thank you!!!

Also, thankfully we booked a room at The Portland Press Hotel for that night. Weather was increasingly worse, and too much wine to drive. But, what is it that for the price of the hotel ( this was a big splurge), my friend and I couldn’t get food there after the show. Saturday night, no food after 10:00. Wasn’t expecting that.

Why is nobody talking about what to do with the 45 tax plan? Even the most vocal politicians against him are saying nothing about the tax burden shift and how much money has moved to the ultra rich. Everyone just talks about doing something, but as Sir Lewis said, they never get specific. I always wanted to believe at least the Dems were a little more on our side than others, while the Repubs will always cater to Wall St. The fact that nobody seems to even point out the effects of the 45 tax plan makes me finally realize just how screwed we are.

The National Comedy Center is an amazing place, as is the Lucy Museum. We visited a few years ago and had a great time. Huge fun. We will be returning for another visit. Their online Comedy Shop has lots of fun stuff. For more fun, drive 2 hours east to the wonderful Corning Museum of Glass.
