Yes! I had to think back as to when I first came in contact with this nut ball. Everybody was reminiscing. And yes, it was the Daily Show. Jon Stewart was out there already. When Louis came out, I just prepared myself to lose my grip. And then when Trump came out, we all lost our friggin grip. Well, many times before that but what a shit load of a mess we’re in right now. Wherever you are, be safe. Because there is no safe place. And I’m in Florida. As long as I don’t get pregnant, or become a woman, or become a man, or become black or anything but white or get old or give a shit, I should be OK. I think I got it figured out. Ha ha. Peace. Thanks for waving to my parents-my dad is 83 and still walks 5km daily. His mom lived to be 93-completely sound of mind until the last two days-but I think that was the morphine. She was in Manitoba about an hour north of Brandon. I more or less lived there every summer bc we lived in Regina. I loved the “Back in Black” segments too-the yelling and subjects he touched on were fantastic!

I finally gave myself permission to sell the house where I grew up in order to open the shop of my dreams that'd I'd been envisioning for 20 years. The space was renovated, the materials and machines were being set up, the necessary 'props' were in place and the OPEN sign went up January 13, 2020, and we got the shut down notice March 15th! I was able to struggle thru a year and the greedy landlord - the building had been vacant for three years before I spent over $20,000 renovating it and moved in - wouldn't say one word to me, other than to notify me I had 36 hours notice before he intended to take possession of the building and my merchandise, machinery and stock. Fortunately my contractor and his nephew showed up the Sunday before the landlord was to take possession with a trailer and we got the vast majority moved out and into my garage. Ultimately I was forced into bankruptcy and am still dealing with the loss of a life's dream, the financial losses and the related mental anguish. I'll close proudly stating that I was among the initial 500 children to be given Dr. Salk's vaccine thru the Navy's dispensary system.

It’s a global decline in civics & civility that caused that terrible chain of events in your business efforts!! WHY do people need to be legally forced into basic decency?!? Just a fraction of the output from 30-40 yrs of “Lifestyles of The Parasitic” & the cult-worship of utterly talentless drones-whose only “gift” is Greed!! And not one “leader” or another stepped-up to suspend habeas corpus, put an FDIC-backed freeze on leases & loan payments, nor to protect small businesses from being devoured!! Not one. I’m glad you were able to salvage your important assets!! Praying for your former landlord’s ‘day of reckoning’ to speed up, & for more favorable terms in whatever direction you go forward!! Sincerely! PO💩 owner! Long Live Louis! Long Live the FU Cult!! ♥️💝

I’m truly sorry to hear about your husband’s passing. I remember when Americans were able to debate the merits of their argument, so the truth can prevail. I remember back in college, both conservative and liberals could agree to disagree, agreeably without having some snowflake run to the schools pre determined save space because of a perceived micro aggression, thankfully it was freshly packed with a nice warm blanket a couple of Binky’s to make the sad better.. I have an honest question for you, do you truly trust the United States government? Hopefully your beloved husband didn’t live long enough to see Louis black become nothing more than an authoritarian loving propaganda mouthpiece, who wags his finger in condemnation at anyone who dare not to walk lockstep with the current administration. May your husband rest in peace. I have no doubt whatsoever his life was a beautiful one because you too had each other.

Love Lewis. He does a lot of excellent work too. He often does events where proceeds go to charity. And he doesn’t just phone it in because he’s not making anything at those events. I went to one such event. Just so happened to be across the street from my home, which was phenomenally convenient. He was out there on stage working it for 2+ hours. Great performance. Gave 110% for a charity performance for the homeless. Excellent human being.

Lewis Black is such a treasure, way beyond his comedy. What he said at the end there really got to me. Most comedians thank their audience, but that...that was one of the most heartfelt and sincere things I've ever heard a performer say. May he been around to share his stories with us for years to come...maybe to a hundred and three! ❤❤❤ also, I'd give ANYTHING to see him interact with his mother 😊

I met Lewis at a meet and greet at a show in Tampa some years back. I'm from Silver Spring, Md. The same place he's from. We talked a bit about that, he was the nicest guy ever and his humor is spot on. Sadly, his mom passed on Oct. 10th 2022. But what a life she lived to 104 years of age. Thank you so much for this, Lewis. Very grateful for your intelligence and humor😛

Same here. Grew up in Kemp Mill. I didn't go to Springbrook HS like he did, though. His old neighborhood, Burnt Mills, is separated from mine by Northwest Branch and a few hundred yards of forest. Rachel Carson lived just to the north of his neighborhood for much of her life. I'm 9 years younger than Black, but I knew people like him growing up in MontCo. Not sure why, but there are a ton of smart, sardonic humans in suburban MD. David Silverman, who helped create the Simpsons and directed numerous episodes, lived nearby and was a classmate for years. I especially love Black's sense of outrage at the stupidity of the country, which really comes through here in the piece on vaccines. Like George Carlin he had that sense of righteous indignation that burns brightly. Unlike Carlin in his last couple of misanthropic decades, he actually wants us to do better, not crash and burn. He's like Carlin without the wordplay and with more hope mixed in.

I live in Chicago I fly out of Midway. Not nearly as scary as O’Hare. Unfortunately, it does limit your choice of airlines. The major airline at Midway international airport is Southwest. So I have to weight the options that shit at O’Hare or southwest at Midway. What would you do I go to midway. Had to fly back-and-forth all during the pandemic. It was wonderful. The middle seat was open all the time. Yeah, you had to wear a mask, but who cares the middle seat was open all the time there were no lines I had 6 to 8 skycaps waiting to take my luggage. Because I have a bad leg I need a wheelchair. They were there before I could snap my fingers then it ended the perfect pandemic ended. The planes are full. The masks are off. the people are bitchy. If you fly with kids, you should be immediately sent to the back of the plane you children should count as carry-ons. Nothing makes me crazier than a family of four gets on and even the six-year-old has to carry-on items. And that doesn’t include the two car seats the diaper bag, and the two backpacks that you’re going to need to keep the children quiet on the long trip from Midway to SeaTac for those of you who don’t know what SeaTac is a 4 1/2 motherfucking hour trip to Seattle Washington. So the family for his 20 items that are supposedly supposed to be put in the bin over their heads, in the meanwhile, those of us who follow rules the bar bag under the seat like we’re supposed to hand out bag up to the sky cat or the flight attendant like I’m supposed to I can’t have my cane down during the flight because it can be considered a weapon. Did I mention that during the pandemic, the middle seat was always empty? Just checking I’ll be getting on that plane two weeks from today as it would be explained to be summer and I am going to fly. I am out of my fucking mind.
