Officially Moving Away for the Winter. Motorcycles made us do it.

My husband, ‪@JordanRay‬ and myself, packed up the toy hauler with our motorcycles, cat, and everything we could need to move south for the winter. Ironically, the winter followed us south! Before we head to Florida, we made a pit stop in Savannah GA to see some family for the holidays.

For the October Forgtten Angels campout I used a harbor freight Predator generator to run my trailer, it even came with the 30amp rv adapter plus it runs super quiet

Assuming you have the standard RV built in propane heater, the house battery's should run it for one night. If your trucks 12v feed in the trailer plug has power all the time, you may want to unplug it to be sure you dont drain your truck battery overnight. Longer term, you need solar or a generator. Electric oil radiation heaters are your friend when you are at a RV park, an 12v heated gear or 12v electric blankets are good when your not.

Ginny-Girl (Australian Cattle-dog) & I, have a gl1800, with either a sailboat or trailer in our future. For now I'll continue to try & be Helpful for my soon to be 86 year old Mammy, as chores & care on her property are abundant. The furnace in the rv should run off the 12 v system. As long as you have battery power, it should run heat. The battery should charge off the 7 round plug on the truck while traveling. We boondock 50% of the time with our toy hauler. Predator 5000 generator works great for any electric needs!

I had same camper! You can run your furnace with propane and your battery will run fan. It will run you out!

Jess, as an Emt for over 23 yrs now, I can say this from MANY MVA’S / motor vehicle accidents. You MUST put your lovely cat in a cage and seat belt it in , just like a kid. People have lost their animals do to accidents. Animals get traumatized and run !!! Never to be seen again. The ones in cages, survive to be checked out at a vet. Please protect your baby!!!

A dog doesn't have to be in a cage (although I know people that do) but does have to be on a tethered leash I wrap my lead around the seat and clip it to my dogs harness.

You have to be careful when using space heaters in campers. The high amps can over heat the plugs and cause the wires to disconnect. The campground looks great.

When we go to Daytona hauling our 28ft tow hauler with 2 indian motorcycle in it, coming from Central Michigan, first day we drive 16hrs to Macon GA.. we just pull over either in a hotel parking lot or wal mart lot.. next day we only have a 4-5 hr drive to the campground.. takes us about 30 minutes to unload and set up.. then We are off riding for the rest of the day..

Buckees is awesome. The brisket sandwhich is very tasty. Only complaint is when they are busy it’s hard if you don’t do crowds. Savannah is a cool place but a tourist trap. They charge you for everything.

That’s one of the reason I wanted a dual door camper. And the one I bought would probably be doable with a 1500 v8 truck. Heck, weight wise, it’s on the edge of my 19 Ranger can pull, even with the bike loaded up. I still ended up buying a 07 F250 diesel for safer towing on longer distances. Most RV furnaces will run on 12v battery power. Probably a silly question, but did you remember to turn on your propane? The furnace itself is propane fueled and the fan is 12v battery powered from the battery you should have on the tongue just behind the propane tanks. The furnaces do have a potential issue with the sail switch, which tells the igniter that it actual has gas flowing through before attempting to light. That sail switch failed on mine in Sturgis, so I had no furnace for the coldest, rainiest rally in a long time. I do have a electric fireplace that allowed me to have some heat there With any luck, I’ll see you guys in Sturgis next year. I will be staying at the Steel Pony for 24 instead of the Chip. Not having to deal with the pump truck is worth the small inconvenience of having to deal with Da Bus to get around town without the bike if I’ve been making pour decisions (pun intended)

I was stationed at Ft. Stewart near there from '78 to '80. I'm somewhat familiar with Savanah. Had a KZ 400 Kawasaki back then. Put a few miles on it until I sold it and got a SR 500 Yamaha from there. Rode it home to Utica Ohio and back during my 15 day leave in June '80. 1450 miles round trip.

I love Savanah, GA. I did 3 and a half years in FT. Stuart by Hinesville, GA. It was a wonderful time in my life. I would recommend you take the walking ghost tour. The guide will tell you a lot about the history of the city. FYI, it's the most haunted city in America. Check out River Street and River Street Brewery. You need to go to Tybee Island too. It's a very beautiful beach. I can't Wait to see what treasures you discover and share. I can't wait for your next video. 😊
