😂 100% accurate. I had an MR2 Turbo which was sooped up to a mere 300bhp, but slammed on cheap lowering springs (with some classic Azev-As) and it felt pretty sketchy in there, especially when damp or cold out 😅

No but one utterly scared the s**t out of me. I was on my motorbike, a yzf600 and gave it some beans from the lights. Got the fright of my life when I saw my mirrors full of grinning MR2 after 600m or so! Respect. At the time, 20 years ago, no car you’d normally see could come close to a bike.

The 2JZ sounds sweet as a nut, and that turbo whistle love it. That MR2 K20 is on different levels on the strip, putting it down. Weather wasn't great, but hats off to the lads for turning up. Respect and Jamie, you know the score great match up even for a last minute thing a man had to drop out.

I think an e153 but everything modded/upgraded so the shifts were very tight and short.

Mr2 driver is an amazing one, car runs for the power too. 6.8 on such a wet surface is an amazing time! Supra's driver not bad either. Finally some nice cars and drivers to match this channel!!

That MR2 is letting off the gas at the end in some of those races. Put the MR2 on a dry surface and it’s not even close. Supra is a dream car, and nice looking. Yet the MR2 is the underdog here, and made the Supra look like it was fighting for respect. Insane races, mad props to both drivers.

The Supra driver did well also did not miss a gear shift. Lighter chassis plus weight over the rear wheels = win. Toyota MR2 chassis are the most slept on cars.

The bite off the line of an MR2 SW20 is something to be experienced. It just digs in and you're away. The rear weight bias is less fun as you get over 100mph when the steering starts to feel like more of a suggestion box than an actual useful control. Still a brilliant car. Luv and Peace.

I knew the supra would struggle on the drag with the MR2 having the engine behind the driver for better launches which nobody in the video seemed to bring up. The driver of the MR2 knows is car quite well those shifts was clean no mis shift and with the engine over the back wheel surely would get better grip than the mighty SUPRA 2JZ but a very good race indeed love to see that mr2 race against the skyline from the previous race especially if its on a dry surface now that would be a lot of fun to watch 👍👍
