One of the funniest and most gratifying aspects of your NLPs is that when weird bullshit happens--bugs, corrupt replays--you can handwave it easily and claim the gods did it. Adds fantasy AND comedy! Very cost effective.

On second viewing, I find that I really *do* like Tullus a lot more than what Constantinus' historical flak suggests. Tullus takes all the s*** that Constantinus shovels his way and makes it shine.

Not sure, but I think it was because I filmed the replay a few days after the battle itself was fought - the longer you wait the more it messes up in my experience. If you film it in the same gameplay sessions that you fought it I've found it works fine then, so that's what I'm doing from now on.

I don't think so, I don't believe there are any custom maps in the game that aren't major settlements unfortunately.

*Orthodox- you're fine but if he chooses to have a Christian character, this will be important as the schism wasn't firmly cemented yet. The Catholic Church as we know it wasn't fully formed until well after the days of Charlemagne. At this point in time, the church in the West was a bit different but still was technically the same church, and even worked with the east sometimes, like when the Pope sanctioned Justinian's invasion of Italy.

Perhaps said commander's army would become the last bastion for Christianity in Brittania. Any Christian man would be inclined to sign up under him, bringing their families with them on campaign, knowing the commander would protect them from the persecution of Constantinus. Unit commanders would train as priests and give sermons before battles.
