That is true, but since I totally unexpected, lost the love of my life this February, after being together for 43 years, I feel so lost and devastated, My love for you will never fade, but I am so cold now and than, it seems I never can get warm again. And than I listen to music, specially this great song, and so many other beautiful songs about love, it feels as if you touch me again and fill my soul with love and laughter, and suddenly it does not seems so cold anymore and that is when I truly believe what Mark Knopfler sings........

Amazing! Mark Knopfler playing with a pick instead of his usual claw hammer finger picking. You hardly ever see him using one, but now that I do it makes sense with this songs sound; the ringing. Mark also going down on the tremolo bar, which doesn't fit with claw hammer. The man can do anything. And makes it look so easy ('cause to him it is). We listened to Kill to Get Crimson endlessly on repeat in the car driving to vacation in France with the kids (finally ;) sleeping in the back... #magic

Today, a week ago, life has stopped for my 21 year old daughter. I have no real regrets as I have always tried, in my own strengths, weaknesses and means, to be everything for her, give her everything, in consideration, not too much, not too little. Mark was my husband's favorite musician. He had all his discography. I had the opportunity to accompany him when he was in Argentina and Uruguay. He passed away in 2009 and every time I listen to Mark, I remember my husband. Even when my child was little, Uncle Mark would tell her, because her father made her listen to her music and was already known to her as an uncle.
