I like this track, but he turns his back to the public (when I was young this was tought as a no go) and is only concerned by his machines. He could do that in a recording studio. Strange setting.

Why? I expect every musician to concern about his instruments in the first place. That's why people are there, to see a dedicated musician. He creates the music live for this occasion and people are there to witness this creation. It doesn't matter if he is looking into the crowd. No one is there to see his face.
