Layne not only fear-beat-boxed, but when Geoff turned him loose he LIFTED, just the tiniest bit, and FLOATED backwards like an absolute cartoon figure. 'Normal' would have been a jolt or a shaking off, but no... he lifted ever so slightly and drifted back. Such a tiny detail but simply superb.

Another reactor (I think it was Daniel from Good Evening Stories?) counted the beats on Geoff's last note, which he held and then slid down -- five whole measures! To be able to hold it that long on a single note is amazing, but to hold it for something like 3 1/2 measures at the end of a phrase, and then still have the breath to slide down an octave for half a measure and hold it another measure is wild!

Is no reactor going to talk about the fact that the “Mufasa Mufasa Mufasa” and “no king no king la la la la la la” is a play on some of the actual script and how it’s read by the actors in the original? I mean the fact that Mykel went up against Elizabeth Garozzo in “Just Sing” with that super sopranic belt shows he has the pipes haha. I love his voice, it contrasts so well with geoffs and mixes beautifully with Cesar and Eli’s harmonies. I just watched his solo performance of “Stars and the Moon” and now I would kill to see him in person perform on broadway and with the boys again.

After watching this many times, and comparing it to the original - I like Geoff's version much better. The original Scar now comes off (to me) more like a high school bully, while Geoff comes off as a truly malevolent villain. Combine that with most of the melody being in the delicious gooey center of Geoff's range makes this one shoot to the top of my VP Disney list. P.S. Mortius - you should also prepare yourself for VP's Halloween release. It recently appeared on Patreon and is something you shouldn't miss.

My favourite Mortius 'feature' (lets call it that) is when he jumps back a few seconds and unintentionally directly into the moment he already freaked out about at least three times. It is wonderful. Somehow he is surprised every time. Excellent content!! Fave villain - Maleficent, especially after watching the Villains Lair for so many times, with Lady Tremaine a pretty close second. Favorite song would either be Trust in Me or Hellfire. Hellfire is much more powerful but I have to be in the right mood to listen to it because I find the lyrics and the whole concept so disturbing. Mykal was in their barbershop quartet in high school and he was Tenor One while Earl was Tenor Two! I would love to try and find one of the recordings when they were still a barbershop quartet to hear the difference between Mykal and Earl because I always thought Earl had a really really high voice! They promised he will be featured more in another video coming out soon. And be sure to watch for their mini or short. I think it’s called studio shenanigans - it’s a blooper from this production. It’s really cute. Am I the only one who wanted to be Mykal just then? 😘

Jafar is my favorite Disney villain. I just love how fleshed out he feels compared to certain other Disney villains, just how deep his schemes and conniving go. There's been a few different interpretations of him in different media, and I kind of like them all at least a little bit. And really, his defeat in the original Aladdin is so cool. As for favorite Disney villain song, it might honestly be Be Preapred. Does Nightmare Before Christmas count? Because the Oogie Boogie Song would definitely be up there.

Ok, so everytime I go to type up "my favorite" villain song, my brain reminds me of another one I love equally as much. So many awesome songs to choose from! And the Villains themselves are each so deliciously complex and overly dramatic in the best sense! I have the same problem with deciding on a favorite Disney villain. I’m thinking either Frollo who I love to hate, or Rasputin from Anastasia. Leaning heavily towards Rasputin just because he is so comically creepy. As for favorite villain song, there are just too many bangers. I love the fact that “Love is an Open Door” is actually a villain song and not the love song it pretends to be. But I think as far as favorites, I’d probably go with either “Hellfire” or “Mother Knows Best.” Both manipulative and twisted and really capture the heart of what makes that character a villain.

Although… Honorable mention to the villain song “Yodel-Adle-Eedle-Idle-Oo” from the Movie Home on the Range. That one might be my second favorite villain song from Disney (just for how fun it is). And a special shoutout to the Latin Spanish version of “Yodel-Adle-Eedle-Idle-Oo” which was sung by a single voice actor (unlike the original english version).

I have to say I can not pick only one. My favorite songs are between "Friends on the other side" "poor unfortunate souls" and "hellfire". As for favorite villain, what does that even mean? Most scary? Who I like the most? Most surprising? I think the ones that I remember as being the most scary are older ones that I can't even remember their names, but like the ones from Tarzan and Pocahontas. There were villains that just stuck with me for being not scary bit just creepy, mostly for their style like Cruella DeVille and Madam Medusa and there were those who were psychologically terrifiyng like Mother Gothel and Judge Frollo And of Course the ones who were really more funny than frightening like Captain Hook or Hades
