I think what Lodd was or should have said, is that whilst Gezzy is a top talent and great player, his attitude can utterly stink, if he lost that he'd get miles more recognition. It's hard to get past someone's attitude, if it's dogshit, no matter how good they are at something.

My earliest recollection of darts was the era of Leighton Reece, Cliff Lazarenko, Jone Lowe and of course Eric Bristowe. Oh forgot jockey Wilson. 100 was called then like 180 now. and 180 was enormous. The level of scoring & finishing is something to behold. If Leighton Reece could see the scoring now, he would think the darts were fired from a rifle. Take a bow, this level of darts is on a different level. Congrats to both of you.

Price's speed at the oche is intimidating. Luckily when I played these sorts of players (darts whizzing past my ear when retrieving) my groupings were such that 3 separate pulls were the norm causing muscle strains in my opponent.

To be quite honest, I don't see the point in not going for the bull's eye after the two triple 20s when you have 170 and the opponent is not on a finisher. You will have at least 3 darts for the set either way: either the bull's eye and the second and third darts if you miss it (assuming it's a 25), or the three darts for your next visit if you go for 10 or 18 instead of the 50... What is there to gain?

It's a Players Championship tournament from the Pro Tour, which aren't actually televised. They do quite a lot of these and they're pretty significant in how the seeds end up. The winner of these tournaments get £10k I think, and the top 64 players across them all have an actually televised tournament where the winner gets £100k.
