Whoever came up with the idea for the setting in which Sammy tells his stories deserves credit for creating the perfect storytelling environment. The fireplace with the mantle above it....the big leather covered chair....the little table next to it with the coffee cup and sometimes the ashtray....it's sort of like you're sitting in your uncle's den while he waxes on about great stories from the past.
