Hafthor Julius Bjornsson, aka "The Mountain' from 'Game of Thrones", was truly dominant at Europe's Strongest Man from 2014 to 2019
Thor won 5 ESM Titles in that period with only 2016 breaking his perfect record.

The problem is we'll never know. He was at his peak and he has decided to go, and for good. Anyone could argue that if he was to continue he'd become stronger, arguably the strongest, but the same could've been argued about Eddie's static strength. At the end of the day, all the could've and would've, don't matter. Although even from what we've seen, he definitely is one of the strongest ever.

Family is much more important than adding world championship trophies to a collection that already has several. It might have took him a while to win but since he did he's took 3 ASC in a row and a bunch of other shows too. Once he reached his peak he was nearly unbeatable. There's plenty of respected guys who've competed for years and not come close to achieving what Thor has.

In strongman, people’s heights are all over the place. @@benextinction__144 I understand what you're saying man the reason I say he is the strongest ever is because of that longevity and all the wins and that he has beat all of best strongmen over the last 20 years and is still winning and has had the log world record for like 16 years or so and to me him winning 8 Arnold Classic's with 6 in a row is one of if not the greatest feat in strongman history

If you compare hagthor's very strongest day of his life so far, with anyone else. He may have been the strongest man of all time.. I would guess big Z on his best day, and Eddie hall, would be his best competition. On their best day ever.. as far as being the strongest person on their best day for different time periods, I'd say paul ANderson absolutely ruled the 50's and Kaz ruled the 80's era's.

If we are talking brute strength Eddie probably wins. Big Z and Thor were beasts at static and moving events which is why they won more comps but Eddie was the king of static

Brian is certainly up there but Thor has lifted as much as or more than Brian on pretty much everything but grip. Also moved faster. Just very similar athletes from slightly different eras (well, talking about their prime, I mean).

@@meginna8354 If we’re talking about the one year where Thor dominated, then sure he was probably the strongest athlete in history at that point in time. However, Zydrunas Savickas and Brian Shaw have dominated the strongman sport for years. Thor won WSM, then he quit. Eddie Hall won WSM, then he quit. Big Z and Shaw won WSM over and over again, and they’re still competing. They’re the greatest strongmen ever, but I’ll give it to you that Thor might have been the strongest human in history for one year.
