It's a relatively old airsoft gun now. About 7 years ago it was quite the cool kids gun. Now with the real one being used by basically one country (France, which recently replaced with the HK416) doesn't make it the most represented gun in pop culture from videogames to blockbuster movies. The only reason why it was so popular in airsoft I believe was because it was cheap and decent for beginners. While I'd love an airsoft version of a more modern Famas, I don't really expect to see that happening anytime soon. Even France replaced it (for the HK416). Goodnight, sweet prince :D

When first got into airsoft, I remember seeing M4s, G36s, Famas's and MB01s all over the place. I wanted something a bit original and a Sig 552 was my very first gun. Oh man I really loved that one. I didn't have it for very long but it's still somewhere in my heart. What do I use now 7 years later ? A gbbr 416. Damn.

HAHAHAHAHA. I ran that setup sometimes XD. I loved my VFC 416C. Its the only "off the rack" that I had ever owned other than my two EF 1911s. All the rest are custom builds. The 416 is a great plarform and I never had problems with mine. It was bone stock and shot laser beams every time, and never had any feeding issues or break downs. I beat the hell outta that thing and it never missed a step. I miss that gun and totally regret selling it to a buddy of mine. I needed money for a few custom projects and he had always pestered me about snagging that gun from me. I finally caved and totally regret it. I would love to have another one, but ONLY the C model and ONLY the VFC make. I don't like the full size rifle and carbine models, and the other 416s from other brands I've tried were shit. Maybe I'll get lucky and find one cheap. Not about to drop full sticker price on one again....

You have a verry good point about you get what you pay for. There clothing line is not to bad though. I have a summit jacket that I used religiously for almost two years in Minnesota. I used that thing for everything I skied In the thing in Colorado and its held up just fine. You want to know if somethings good for normal use, use it during the winter in Minnesota.

Hey kids here some advice. Follow these rules and if you plan on playing airsoft for a long time I'll save you 000's of dollars. Step one. Buy a gun that's simple, easy to fix, and otB reliable. I recommend a TM, a RS, an LCT, or an Echo 1 (red star specifically) Next, if you bought the red star, install a weaker spring. This will extend the gearbox life If you bought a TM leave the gearbox bone stock except MAYBE a torque motor. If you bought anything except a RS the only upgrade I'd advise doing is hop-up mods. If you bought a RS do yourself a favor and LEAVE IT STOCK. Now, after you've got 1 gun, buy a backup. I'd recommend keeping them compatible with both batteries and magazines to save your ass some money. Now don't add anything on your gun. The only exception is a light if you play at night or in dark areas. You don't need scopes, rails, or any of that bullshit. Once you start buying all of it you've opens the floodgates to slapping more shit in your gun. Keep doing that and you'll end up like me with a box full of spare parts, grips, lights, lasers, and all kinds of junk. Keep it simple!

I hate the modern loadout M4 platforms. They’re very “Call Of Duty”. Give me a big, dirty solid stocked M-16A2/A3 with iron sights any day. You could never imagine Arnold Schwarzenegger with a modern M4 platform. They have more accessories than a teenage girl.

I'm with you on this one. I'd prefer a M16A1 even, because its "da Vietnam gunn" (well, kinda). I'd take a full length rifle if I played airsoft. I hate these little, ACOG-decorated (plus a flashlight plus a lazurr plus a 'nade launcher plus plus plus...), short-barreled "commando" versions. Give me the real deal, no fuss ironsight. Less is more.

I've owned a Combat Machine for years now, never failed me. Also bought a VFC 416 CQB at one point and absolutely loved it, but it had major gearbox issues within only a few months and I was forced back into another G&G. Probably an outlier, and I wouldn't mind getting another eventually

I went to a game yesterday. There was ~50-100 people there. I had an AUGA1, Mk18, and an AK-47. One other person had an AUGA1, one guy had a P90, one had some sort of FN LMG, one guy had that Krytac LMG, one guy had an AK-74u, one guy had a shotgun, one guy had an M16A1/2 and two guys had snipers. Everyone else had an M4. I got a lot of comments on the AUG, and a few on the AK. It just kinda sucks how every sorta defaults to the M4.

John Bonanno Its the exact same wverywhere dude and there is a reason for each.... Elite Force 1911s are cheap and reliable, and work well in alk conditions. Combat Machines are cheap and reliable, and you will always see tweens and teeny boppers using them because mommy and daddy bought them nice/mean well Christmas presents. You will always see M4 Franken-Builds of some kind because in airsoft the M4 platform is the AR15 of the real steel world. Theyre everywhere, ever company makes a version of it, and they have the most aftermarket support available, more than any other model of gun. Most companies parts are also interchangeable with other companies. They are the easiest to work with and the most readily available. As for the MP7, 9 times outta 10 they are used by KWA fanboys who think there is nothing better. The other class that uses them that is also hand in hand with the prior mentioned most of the time are the COD and CS fanboys who think MP7 is the best and coolest gun ever made. Basically, its simply people who don't know any better. As for me, all of my guns (including my pistols) are custom guns or Franken-Builds. Built a few custom DSGs from the ground up, got a few customized KWAs as beater guns, and some custom built pistols or pistols made by ghost companies no one has ever heard of. Got a few custom built race pistols too just cuz they're cool, and some revolvers (My favorite is the Marushin Mateba M2006). In short, none of my guns are "off the rack" models and people always think I'm crazy for using all kinds of wierd guns, and for not wearing BDUs/ACUs. This is airsoft not GI Joe dress up. "But its Milsim bro!!!" Bahahahaha. No. Just shut the fuck up dude XD.

People would always stare at me in their "military uniforms" and ridiculously modded weapons like I was from Mars. Richard Harris The thing shoots amazingly it is laser accurate and has a great firerate, the blowback is loud and can be turned off which is nice, the only real problems I have with it is that it's pretty heavy which makes sense considering the length and size and the fire selector sometimes changes while running around because of how close the modes are but that doesnt happen often but it's a great gun

I run a loadout with at least one gun of each type with two guns at a time: 1. H-416 (HK-416) 2. Berreta M9A3 (Nickel Plating) 3.Famas FELIN (Yes, I still kept mine.) 4. Any M27, Any M4, Any AK47 or Ak74, Any L115, Any M24, Any AWM, Any M1911, Any M9A1, Any M14 EBR/M21 EBR, Any Scar rifles, Any CZ scorpions, Any Magpul Masada's... Where are the people who aren't your typical sheep who use M82's or M107's, Dragonovs, Shotguns, revolvers, P90's, G3's and really anything else that is decent pricewise and preformance wise and takes skill to use... Personally I'll stick to my M82 and 6 shooter.

Running a F2000 and a Dan Wesson 6". Handling on this AR is so easy, can use M4 mags and all... but the revolver, it's just for the cool factor. I mean why would anyone use a slower, heavier pistol with lesser ammunition than any mag-fed pistol but to look like a badass ?

Over here in the Netherlands there are a tons of m4's all over the community as wel as vsr10's. The squad and me prefer to use ares amoeba s1's and the asg steyr aug. Fore pistols the cybergun 1911 anniversary edition is the big winner in our squad.

The Krytac CRB doesn't matter what model it is you can upgrade the hell out of them and it is amazing mainly because Krytac provides everything on there website would definitely prefer getting the gun and definitely get it if your just starting If you are just starting I recommend getting the Krytac Alpha CRB best starter gun actually just good gun in general Because when you want to have a better one and don't wanna have to spend $300 for a new gun you can upgrade the spring and that will increase the fps by at least 50 fps Depending on if your getting a upgraded spring And if you are going to get a spring then definitely get a trident series spring because it is definitely a big bump up
