In the US we have to unlock them with an air powered switch. There are situations when raising the bed when the bottom stays locked, so automatic opening doesn’t always work.

What just happened wasn't necessarily reversible. Lifting again would do one of two possible things: lower the cab to the ground, or backflip the whole truck into the water. Letting the back tyres down might help.

He forgot to open the tailgate and te cameraman let him do it! If he had the newer dump trucks with the retractable tailgate that has its ownsmal cylinder, he might have been able to use that to sit himself back on the ground! It probably would gave had damage, though! Aye, but I love the bed on that truck. I am a huge fan of steel tall body dump trucks. They are much sexier than the steel low beds.

You have to unlatch the bottom corners of the back gate so it can swing open and allow tge load to fall at lesser angles🤪
